*Cash's injury.

I'm amazed this is still happening.

Thanks homie, fixed

Yes to all this, and I'll be stunned if it's not a work.

But at the same time that injury was pretty gruesome

I will say, if the whole thing is a work - I wouldn't at all be surprised. FTR pride themselves on being the "last of a dying breed" and there's nothing that says that more than having a storyline blend into real life. They're using that old school philosophy and adding it to the storyline. This feels like something out of the 80s.

Also, if it were their last match - I doubt they'd do it on Dynamite. I'd see TK at least having it at the PPV. I know its not too far from what we had but MJF/FTR vs. Jericho/PnP would've worked for the PPV in some fashion as well with now two storylines playing the "is this it?!" note.

I wanted to remind myself just how great Ruby SoHo’s entrance will sound when she debuts at All Out.  I put on Rancid’s great album “…And Out Come the Wolves” and went back in time to 1995.  The song titled “Ruby Soho” will instantly displace Jungle Boy and “Jungle Life” as the wrestler with the catchiest entrance music in AEW.

As soon as the chorus kicks in I was back in 95 with an incredible beer buzz and singing along with an album that I had sparsely sampled before that night.

Just wait and see.

Maaaybe set a reminder for the Buy In just before All Out.  Odds are that she is the Joker in the Women’s Casino Battle Royale.  They won’t be on the main card.

Why?

Because….because…

PENISES!!!

That’s why!!!

I don’t think she’ll be the Joker. I think Cassie & Jessie will be the Joker. Ruby will be in the battle Royal, though, and has to be a favorite to win it…

What kind of messed up card game are they playing here?

Two Jokers?

Cassie can be the Joker.  Jessie will have to settle for being the Rules of Blackjack and Poker card..or something.

We haven’t heard much at all regarding Samuray del Sol/Kalisto since his release.  He did an interview with either SRS or CVV just after his release. Not much of anything since though…Isn’t the former Kalisto based out of Chicago as well?

Three debuts in one night would seriously be too much.  Even for Tony K’s imagination…or lack thereof according to the people who don’t watch the shows.

Does Coach Tony K use EWR to book shows?  Maybe he is suuuper old school and used TNM7 like a true DVDVR veteran would “back in the day”?  Btw, the “day” would fall somewhere during the glory years  of the chat - probably between 1999 and 2002 IIRC.

Good times.

Cassie & Jessie are a package deal. Plus, it’s fitting for them. And, in some neighborhoods, there’s a Big Joker and a Little Joker in spades. I’m guessing TK has never played that version, though…

Ha, I thought about posting in this week's Dynamite thread "The crowd was pumped up from the last bout, so this match was seen as something of a letdown" about the main event, but wasn't sure if anyone would get it.

Has anyone besides Dax and Cash mentioned that his injury is severe enough to be career threatening?  I mostly think, that if it were legit, Meltzer or Satin would be talking about it.  For that matter, I half think Tony Khan would acknowledge it somehow and FTR's last match would be bumped to the PPV.  Heels cutting a promo, basically, and saying "I'm to injured to wrestle.  I have to retire - RIGHT AFTER NEXT WEEK'S MATCH (GET YOUR TICKETS EARLY)" smells a lot like some sort of of heel chicanery.

I won't be too surprised if FTR does some sort of tribute to Bob Orton in the match.  Cash comes down with his arm wrapped or braced somehow, then somehow uses the protective padding as a weapon or pulls a pair of bras knux out of it when the referee's back is turned.

I’m willing to bet Cassie & Jessica don’t appear in the battle royale, actually.

Not being funny, but I havent seen much of them after NXT, how are they in the ring currently?

Eh. I think they'd fit better anywhere else.

Just thinking out loud here...they have an extra hour of TV after Rampage for the "Road to" special. What are the chances Rampage goes long with something major going into the PPV?

I think a good portion of that is allotted to Ross' sitdown with Punk.

I'm more interested in seeing AEW use their 1B stars (Rosa/Shida/Tay) more before adding more women they just won't use enough.

I'm enjoying the ROH women's tourney matches right now- and ROH could have a really good division if they put effort into it, plus it would differentiate them more which is good.  That's where I'd want Ruby , Cassie, and Jessica.

I thought that Jess and Cassie would end up in Impact to be honest. Aren't they one of the only orgs out there to actually have a pair of womens tag team titles (well, I guess along with NWA now).

Also, hard agree on me being more interested in the likes of Tay Conti, Thunder Rosa, Hikaru Shida, Jade Cargill, amongst others.

AEW has enough “good hands” in their women’s division. Cassie & Jessie would bring something they’re way short on; promo ability and charisma. I have no idea why people think they wouldn’t fit in AEW.

Except then they'd be in ROH, which is unwatchable crap outside of Gresham.

So, would the real overkill be ruby soho, cassie and jessie on the pre show, bryan danielson and adam cole on the main show? Id love it, but coupled with cm punks first match back,  would the crowd have any air left afterwords?

And kudos to the tnm 7 name drop.  im currently working with a google chrome laptop and journeyofwrestling, wishing i could play some tew or tnm7 right about now.  just too much fantasy booking out there not to simulate. JoW will suffice, but im jonesing for tew/ewr and tnm pretty bad

That hardly matters when the promo time the women get is somewhere between never, and hardly ever.

Sounds like Bryan Danielson is now debuting at All Out and not at Grand Slam Dynamite as originally thought. Both would work. It's making a choice between the two. Too soon for Adam Cole plus I'm no Cole fan, I certainly wouldn't sign him. I'd debut Bryan Danielson and Ruby Soho with Cassie/Jessie in a few weeks time.

Would love to see them hold off on adam cole until after september 22nd, where hangman page defeats kenny omega for the aew title.  i know its not on ppv, but adam pages redemption in a stadium with a ruckus new york crowd would be tremendous.  and to back him up from future onslaught is kazarian and adam cole.
