Predictions:

Kenny Omega retains the AEW World Championship.

Dr. Britt Baker defends the AEW Women's Championship.

Miro defends the TNT Championship. This was the toughest match to call as I can see Eddie Kingston winning as well.

Lucha Bros become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Ruby Soho or Thunder Rosa win the Casino Battle Royale. I'll go with Soho. Wouldn't be surprised if Tay Conti wins either.

Chris Jericho. This was also a tough match to predict.

CM Punk beats Darby Allin in Punk's first match back in 7 years.

Paul Wight.

Jon Moxley.

Orange Cassidy/Chuck Taylor /Wheeler Yuta /Jurassic Express.

So I would think Bryan is wrestling the New York show.  Do you put him with Omega right off the bat or give us Bryan vs Adam Cole

That was the only Adam Cole match I ever really remember enjoying, so I say run it back. And AEW hasn't been one to immediately push someone into the World title scene without any wins, so Bryan should have to fight his way to the top just like everyone else.

Although, dude did just main event a fucking WrestleMania like 5 months ago, so... Maybe an exception can be made.

Rather see fresh match ups but I'm admittedly not an Adam Cole fan. Be interesting to see Bryan Danielson's first match. Danielson vs. Omega is the biggest match available but there's Hangman's Redemption against Kenny Omega to be done.

As exciting as Cole, Punk and Bryan being in AEW is... I'm now officially worried about Hangman's story. Despite everything, I still think that's the right call to run with, but I don't know how much longer you can keep hanging onto that story when you just teased Danielson/Omega, Punk is going to be at the top sooner or later, and then Adam Cole will likely sow the seeds of dissention in the Elite because that's what he does.

Adam Page wins in Queens, Ny.  interference by the Elite is thwarted by Bryan Danielson and Jurassic Express.  Page feuds with Omega somemore and Bryan Danielson feuds with Adam cole.  there is plenty to toy with, with a roster like this, where every loose end is tied up imo

Still pissed that Eddie didn't win, but that was a great show. Kojima/Mox was surprisingly good. Women's match was MOTN to me. Cage match was INCREDIBLY STUPID.

In the chat: During the Wight match we talked about Western movies. During the main we talked about Winnepeg, Gary, Camden, and drugs.

MINORU SUZUKI

Camden, New Jersey? If you're talking Camden, then drugs naturally go with it. Same with Newark.

I think Bryan can be distracted by Cole and the Bucks long enough for Page to come back, get heated up, and kill Kenny dead for the title.

Punk has a loooong list of guys he needs to go through - KENTA, Black, MJF, Mox... You know Cody is going to want a piece as well. I could see Punk teaming with Darby to take a run at the Lucha Bros. Plenty there for him.

Hell, they could even set Punk and AmDrag on a collision course before either of them gets a shot.

Whichever way they go, I trust that Adam Page will get his time in the sun soon enough.

I have thoughts.

That TNT Title match was fucking deluxe. Every beat hit perfectly. Eddie's gotta win a big one soon but Miro isn't done yet. I'd have been tempted to book a double countout but this worked better.

Jon Moxley has declared a one man war on the island of Japan. Can't wait to see him tear down buildings with his bare hands like Godzilla. Oh shit. Hey, TK, get Blue Oyster Cult on the phone. There's no way those guys don't need he money.

Women's title match slapped, but they've gotta stop putting young babyface women in this position. Red Velvet and Kris Statlander are great talents with incredibly high ceilings, but there's no way anyone's cheering them over Britt right now.

And now, what I'm sure everyone has been waiting for...

First of all, let me make perfectly clear that every time a Jackson brother gets dropped on his empty head, an angel gets its wings. Fuck them up their stupid asses. Having said that, the finish to that match was off the charts. The Lucha Brothers entrance was incredible, but it made me a little sad, as it reminds that I've never gotten to live my lifelong dream; being the giant dude in the back of someone's entourage in a rap video, mugging for the camera and nodding his head to the music. I was born to do that, yet I remain stillheaded.

Anyway, great match. Lucha Brothers have earned that win, even though I suspect they won't keep those belts long.

Women's battle royal was really good. It's crazy how far that roster has come in two years. They're ass deep with women who can go. And Rebel. Bless her. She tries hard, and there's a role for her on tv, but I'm not sure it's as a competitor. The right woman went over, though I might've been tempted to have Rosa and Ruby hit at the same time, leading to a three way match.

Punk looked off by a step, but not seven years worth. It's like Joe Walsh said when the Eagles got back together in 1994. "Pass the Tullamore Dew." Wait, that's not the quote I want. He also said "it didn't sound like we hadn't played together in 14 years.... it sounded like we took a week off." Same deal here. Darby isn't my particular cup of tea, but he absolutely broke his assbone to make sure Punk looked great.

Wight/Marshall was a thing that happened. Tafka Big Show is another performer who might be best served not doing much in ring. If I were him, I'd be trying to get Time Warner executives on the phone about reviving the Netflix show for HBOMax or TNT. Shit was funny.

The main slapped. From the first lockup to all the damn funny business after. Tony Khan is a goddamned madman, and I mean that as a compliment of the highest order. Only and idiot would've booked all that postmatch, but Tony made it not just work, but fuck. That ending fucked. It fornicated on a Sunday and can now be arrested in several states. This AEW roster is a thing of beauty. TK should be selective moving forward, but if Bronson Reed, Windham, and the Iinspirations want jobs, I'm at the very least hearing them out if I'm him. What a glorious time to be a wrestling fan. Somewhere AJ Styles and Samoa Joe are screaming curse words into a dark void. Somewhere Vince McMahon is eating a steak wrap and wondering if that tiny guy from nXt is still considering the offer he made him. I'm assuming Vince won't actually find out Adam Cole is gone until he gets on facebook tomorrow looking for more dank "thanks Biden" memes and checks the news feed. Somewhere HHH is getting his resume ready. And somewhere Nick Khan is texting his cousin Tony on his burner phone, asking him what the payout is for getting Bayley and Finn Balor to defect next. God bless All Elite Wrestling. This shit is fun again.

First time I've ever dropped money on an AEW ppv. Couldn't resist it and definitely don't regret it. One of the best shows I've ever seen. None of the matches disappointed, and the debut of Danielson was worth the price of admission alone.

Cole is someone where card placement doesn’t matter, and he’s connected enough with all the Elite folks that it makes sense to align there.

Tony can take a ton of chances now because he has depth and goodwill. Trust the fans will respond the way you want them to. Fantasy booking is officially out the window now. The whiteboard is clean. Whatever is next is gonna slap.

Camden, Indiana actually, since Gary came up first. I thought they were talking New Jersey too honestly.

Fun things:

- The face on Aubrey while she took off MJF's ring

- Ruby's SICK jacket

- Poor Paul limping on his first step in the ring (stay behind the desk big man)

- Kenny doing Urkel and then immediately confirming he is Kenny "Overkill" Omega by doing it again later, thus burning the joke into the ground like a spammed move

- Whichever Jackson brother finally looking like a burnt-out glam rocker for real

- Whichever Jackson actually blading

I might be the only one who cares, but the motherfucking BUTCHER is back baby!

That's how loaded this show was. When it happened I was legit excited and by the time the show was over I had forgotten.
