I'd feel bad for the poor cow he's tearing apart with his bare hands. ?

Whoever the face is there (Tito?) does a great job selling the insanity of that spot. I know it's hack to say, but today's wrestlers would probably just acknowledge the hilariousness of the spot by breaking character.

That's most assuredly Tito by his fighting stance.

Did any NWA promotions ever have guys cut promos behind a whole section of cage filling the entire screen or was that a WWF innovation?

I'm pretty sure I've seen JCP promos cut behind a full cage.

How tall was Paul legit? He looks like a modern wrestler in that ring.

Supposedly 6'0 on the dot.

I think Meltzer said 5'10" on the podcast the other day, but I'm old and my memory is not the best.

When you don't practice the move ahead of time and forget what you're supposed to be doing halfway in?

I have no idea why you want to intentionally bend your neck at that angle.

Because it looks fucking cool?   I mean that's the point of a lot of pro wrestling.

True, but it also looks like a good way to mess up your neck.  I'm imagining Flair kicking out and your body getting shoved awkwardly forward, putting even more stress on your neck.  Granted, if you're worried about things like that, you probably aren't a pro wrestler.

It does look cool and appropriately hurty.

Umm...I hope you never see a bridged suplex where they support another person's weight on their neck a lot like that.
