And FWIW, she probably won't win on Saturday (unless she catches a submission) but I think Tabatha Ricci has the chance to be the Brazilian PVZ. The one thing she has going for her that Paige didn't is she's actually great on the ground. Problem is she's barely five feet even. So basically she is to BJJ what Loma Lookboonme is to Muay Thai. Both are super awesome at their respective disciplines, but will be dwarfed by everyone at strawweight damn near.

Watching Ricci now, and I got no idea how she gets Fiorot down and keeps her down.

She's basically an atomweight fighting a large flyweight and a flyweight that could be fighting Valentina sometime soon. It basically went as expected.

Sucks she got put into that situation, but that's what comes with taking short notice fights.

I mean she wasn't scared of shit, so there's that. Would love to see a more natural match up for her.

Fiorot on the otherhand has some fucking heat in those fists. More than happy to buy a ticket for that hype train.

Ponzinibio vs Baeza was really, really good. Dolidze vs Starapoli wasn't.

I really wanted Ariane Lipski to win, but oh well.

Back to KSW for her probably.

Yeah, that Baeza/Ponzinibio fight was a FOTYC, though more a war of attrition with one huge momentum swing than a super technical/skilled fight. By the end their mobility was pretty shot and they were only using slight upper body movement and maybe hands up as forms of defence. It'll be interesting to see how Baeza reacts to the loss. Missed the first few fights due to basketball but the rest of the show minus the main event destruction was pretty skippable.
