For WWE going forward and also for new wrestler signings:

The male talents they will hire going forward have to be young, with good size. With an emphasis on minorities.  “Good size” was described as a legitimate 6-foot and 220 pounds, they want to move away from the smaller "ROH" style type of guys they had been hiring for years. This new size mandate doesnt exclude big indy guys or wrestlers from overseas.

Johnny Ace walks into Regal's office and hands him a stack of magazines to scout from.

OMG they're running an escort service.

But is it for all the right reasons and atop a 4 Seasons?

I hate myself for knowing those lyrics.

Metlzer and others occasionally bring up that Vince still thinks the ideal for talent is tall, big, and ripped.  It wouldn't surprise me if he periodically convinces himself business would pick up if they filled the roster larger guys and moved back towards the sort of roster they had 30 years ago.

They also want to hire more female producers, for helping put together the womens matches. Molly Holly tried out recently.

This was leaked out for the male side. Not leaked: Ace's "measurement" requirements for new female talent.

They'll never be able to go back to the average 80s build. Bigger guys who don't pursue it as a passion, getting ground down quicker by the schedule and modern in ring style. Didn't work last time and that was before NXT raised the quality expectation of matches.

The ring style should be rolled back a few decades to cater to the beefcakes. Expectations must be lowered!

There will be no struttin' and cuttin' in my 2021!

Why do we still think that bigger guys can't go? Wouldn't the Uso's fit into what they're looking for, or are they not quite 6'?

Hell aren't most of their non-wrestling background NXT guys in this mold? Doesn't seem like anything too different.

I'm thinking more of the Luther Reigns, Chris Masters, Nathan Jones, etc big dudes who they only wanted to look big, not good. When I hear Laurinaitis is back in charge and them moving away from NXT/indy darlings I think of those dull years.

All new talents of course will have to go to the PC and/or NXT, Ace is in charge of hiring but several others are in charge of developing talent.  The Cena and Orton and Lesnar types is also what WWE wants, the late 90s size range is fine too. So more Brauns, Karrions, Romans, less Johnny Reddits.

It’s Kona Reeves’ birthday, and he mentioned that he’s been with WWE for SEVEN YEARS now.  During that time, he has wrestled in all of 22 televised matches, almost exclusively as a job guy.  He hasn’t appeared in a match since before the pandemic.

An incredible return on that 7 year investment so far.

They finally showed the commercial during the Belmont stakes preshow. Allegiant stadium is official for summerslam. When I heard nfl stadium I assumed it would be like wrestlemania week and got really excited. I don’t think they do more than 20k for this. Literally no one will be purchasing a ticket to see cardi b come out on stage twice and say something. Cena vs reigns is a big match but not something tens of thousands of fans are flying in for. We’ll see if any other companies try to piggyback, I’ll still consider going.

After Blood and Guts set wrestling back 30 years, never wanting to be outdone, WWE now shooting for 35.
