Cleavy
Aussie cricket team caught cheating (ball tampering) during current Test in South Africa. Smith and Warner (captain and vice captain) stood down from captaincy mid-match. Our whole country is going mad over the incident.
DangerMark
That's the kind of thing that happens when you take cricket too seriously.
odessasteps
It’s funny that it seems more like a scuffing the baseball story from a US POV, yet it is being treated with the hysteria of deflate gate.

I think it comes from the unwritten ideal that Cricket is a game for gentleman and that the spirit of the sport trumps all. It's a load of horseshit now, but it is why things like this get blown out of proportion.

SirFozzie
So, for the folks who think T20 cricket just takes too long, the English Cricket Board have an idea for their new city based competition.. 100 Ball Innings! 15 normal (6 ball) overs and a final 10 ball super over. Dewar
I don't watch a ton of cricket, but I seem to recall watching some T20 match I bet on, and it took less than three hours. Am I completely out to lunch on this?
SirFozzie
Correct. Each T20 innings takes 75 minutes (roughly). It was referred to as hit and giggle cricket when it started because the two forms either took a full day (50 over cricket) or up to FIVE DAYS

SirFozzie
Keep your eye on the Sri Lanka/West Indies game, we had a ball change, penalty runs (for altering the ball) and over an hour's delay as Sri Lanka protested.
