Aussies played magnificent cricket, and England have retained the ashes due to...bad weather.

For fucks sake. summer was going so well, as well.

4th test is getting interesting, England lead is close to 200 (they stand on 221-5), if they can find another 100 runs or so, the Aussies may have trouble (the scores are 238 and 270 in the first two innings, so the game's really in the balance)

maybe the rain will save australia from a lost, like it did for england

Doesn't look like that's going to happen.. Australia collapse from 109-0 to 199-8, still with an hour or so left in the day, they could be bowled out tonight.

That's what happened. England win The Ashes 3-0 with 1 drawn game.

Looks like barring an england collapse, the final Test is going to end with a fizzle, Australia declare at 492-9, while England have made 32-0 in reply.. the pitch is great for batting, for bowling? Not so much.

Yup, England go into Operation Shutdown, finish day 3 at 247-4, behind by 245 runs (but almost definitely will make Australia bat again, which unless something amazing happens means that it'll be a draw)

Really negative cricket, a horrible scoring rate of 2.1 an over today for England, but I guess it's what was left to them after Australia beat them up in the first innings.

Was actually shaping up to be a crackerjack finish, as Australia sportingly declared at 111-6 (23 overs) setting England a goal of 237 from 44 overs, but sadly the game ended four overs early with England 21 runs short and five wickets in hand.

Shit it had to end that way. Just have to ponder the way it was going to go.

From the Hit and Giggle part of Australia's tour:

Aaron Finch launches 14 sixes in an innings of 156(nearly breaking the world record for fastest century) and the Aussies win the first 20 over game comfortably

Man, watching the IND/AUS and BANG/NZ series.. can anyone bowl in one day games anymore? It's like an extended Twenty20 game, 300+ chased down multiple times... the bat/ball balance is way off.

Well, the Ashes have begun (yes, again) in Australia.

The Aussies were in trouble (132 for 6) but recovered well to be 273 for 8 at the close of play on Day one of the first test. Still likely a below par score, the pitch is very forgiving.
