How can the mystery (not HoF surprize but ladder TBA) person not be Erick Rowan? Legit question as I don't watch regularly follow AEW. He could come in as a real over heel or babyface.  Credit for this educated guess goes to my chum Jason G. My prediction was Christian. I hope it's not Angle. Khan would never bring Hogan in, right?

please don't be Hogan,

Kudos to AEW for creating some great fan buzz surrounding this big surprise.  I hope the reveal lives up to the hype.  But lest us not forget this same hype team (minus 'The Big Scoop' Paul Wight) sent message prior to a certain Dynamite that said something on the show would change the wrestling landscape - that led to, ah, Jade Cargill.

The 'Hall of Fame Worthy' line leads me to believe it's a non-hall of famer, but 'worthy' as has been pointed out could technically mean 'hall of famer'.  My guess if the former is true would be 'Christian Cage'.  The latter would lead me to believe it's Kurt Angle.  Whom I haven't seen in many many years.  The talk suggests he's washed up.  I don't believe a motivated and healthy Kurt Angle isn't capable of getting back to having really good matches.  But again, didn't see his last run (or any run for the past 10 years).

My mind is also wandering to the possibility of Dave Bautista in AEW.  Is this possible?  Would this be a good thing?  I haven't seen Big Dave in ring since early in his career.  I did see his admirable performance in Blade Runner 2040.  In this same realm of 'huge surprises' Brock Lesnar certainly comes to mind.  Tho, not really all that interested in either.

Especially not interested in the likes of RVD, Kane or Foley.  RVD, from the little I've seen of him in Impact, is clearly ready for the Beefcake/Valentine/Bushwhacker Luke senior circuit not weekly TV.  I see little to no way that it's Kane, and that's a relief.  Foley presents an outside the ring possibility, but I have no interest in seeing 'guest referees' and especially 'authority figures', and I can't see that meeting the hype of the announcement.

Lastly, I've never seen more than a few highlights of Ryback, but he seems ready to return.  Even having not seen much of him I don't think I want him in the Elite fold.  Would Ryback not be a huge disappointment?  Also, TK mentioned it's one of his 'favorite wrestlers of all time'.  Could anybody anywhere make that claim to 'Rrrryback'!?

Is there any way a 'Bryan Danielson' or 'Kevin Steen' has silently become a free agent?  I believe 'CM Punk' when he tweets that it's not him.

Again, I'm going with Angle or Christian here.  With a ladder match surprise side of Ethan Page.

Batista was on Twitter this week saying that wrestling needs a new word to replace "retirement" because it means basically nothing in the sport, and never has. I don't think it's him. I'm going with Ethan Page for the ladder match (or Sammy), and Christian Cage as Paul Wight's announcement (Meltzer said he doesn't have a WWE contract). Owens/Steen coming in right after a feud with Roman Reigns for the WWE title would be pretty huge, but I don't think it's plausible at all.

Does SCU need to win the Casino Tag Team Battle Royale to stay intact as a team?

No, they specified that the stip only applies to regular tags.

I want to see a knockoff of Christian’s old music — “Christian!  Chriiistiiiaasnnnn!!!” — start, and then Blake Christian comes out.

Apparently Justin Barrasso has seen the street fight tag match already, or bits of it at least. He's describing it as a huge success and "WWE's loss is AEW's gain when it comes to Sting" - pre-tape allows Sting to work in a safe environment, Darby applies his film school background/does insane shit, and Starks and Cage have some "star making" moments too.

I'm glad that mostly AEW has killed the "driving up to the edge of the arena" thing after Trent got him mum to drive him up, but if anyone was going to rock up with a ludicrous stretch hummer a la Chono, it's gotta be this incarnation of Omega.

Have this bought on Fite, plan on watching the replay alone in the office tomorrow morning (I'm in my last 4 weeks after 16 years in my job so very much winding down right now).

Mostly looking forward to the death match and hoping for Hangman truly embracing the Dark Order tonight. Not too excited about the mystery signing, but I'll be happy if it's someone who can still go at a high level.

I am actually going to a Cinemark theater about 5 miles away.  Never watched wrestling at the movies before.  I would say it is cheaper than PPV but depends on what I eat and drink

Tell us how it is. Have fun.

Does anybody know if ordering this on a PS4 puts it into a library of sorts, so I can go back and watch it again?

And on the other side; are you still able to DVR PPV's?

I've been curious about the deathmatch, but, now that it's nearly here, my attitude is mostly "Why are these dudes doing this?"  Not sure this isn't going to be a train wreck.

I guess it did sell me a PPV, so maybe I've answered my own question.  I like Mox and Omega, but I don't think I'd have bought the show if they were doing a standard match.

Foley as guest ref for the deathmatch? Then again, the last few times I've seen him he didn't look mobile enough to keep up with the action.

AEW has Sick Nick Mondo on the payroll.  He's a photography director.  He might be persuaded to come back in gimmick for this special occasion and be the guest ref.

My buddy order it several times on his PS4 you get access to it for 10 or 14 Days & can watch it as many times as you want unless that changed in the last year.
