Terry Funk had a quote on the commentary of Beyond the Mat where he said guys like Jake and Raven were the smartest because they could get over while doing nothing dangerous. There's got to be a short list of workers like that.

Jake

Raven (if you really want to put him on it)

Lawler (even though I've seen him take a ten foot bump horizontally to the floor)

Superstar Graham

I dunno, who else?

EDIT: Well Graham's steroid abuse was more dangerous than any bump. And I didn't put anyone from Mexico on there because the list would expand exponentially.

If getting over is a prerequisite then my vote doesn't count, but I'd nominate The Great Khali?

ETA- I'd guess someone like a Nia Jax? Reckless as shit for a rep, but I can't remember her taking any wild bumps much less leaving her feet that often (although admittedly i dont think I've seen more than 2 or 3 Nia matches)

I know that Heenan apparently did stuff like this because he figured that by being an asshole, he was getting the babyface over, but Goddamn, that was racist.

How old is Jeff Hardy now? How old is Sabu? Because they were both supposed to have been in Wheelchairs fifteen years ago. And neither of them is. Bollocks to Less is More. Less is less. More is more.

Stares at you in Mick Foley

The latter; pretty sure I read he is actually a couple inches shorter nowadays. I mean people do shrink with age but that couldn't have helped.

I completely forgot about the hip replacement though so I might not be the most accurate source

Does Yoko count for the smart worker?

Dude hit a couple wheel kicks, a belly to belly, a nerve hold and then a squat with a padded ass. I know he crushed the occasional jobber but how many top workers took liberties with those guys back then? Seems like he took minimal bumps and had a pretty decent run for a guy that did next to nothing in the ring and never cut a promo.

You're forgetting the Uranage and the legdrop. I think he worked fairly high-impact for someone so big. I really need to rewatch those matches again though, especially after the documentary.

Oh man,  was it Heenen doing the teleprompter/screen draw comparing Yoko's thigh to a giant turkey leg?

I don't remember him hitting a Uranage though? Was it Wyatt style or full on Rock Bottom?

Proper Uranage with the spin.

I've never seen that match! I'll have to seek that out. I do have vague memories of it happening - this is the match where Jarrett and Hogan shot a TNA angle at the press conference afterwards that went nowhere, correct?

No idea. I just recall finding it decently fun.

Man, Yoko at the size he was when he first came in was legit awe-inspiring. He was crazy-athletic for a dude of the size he was then. Early Yoko has elite-level squashes of jobbers.

EDIT: Look at this dope-ass shit right here.

it's a little early and we don't have a WM thread yet but let me just say this is the PERFECT year for them to have various women's matches outside of the title scene.  it's two nights this year and they have a lot of stars.

this is how we end up with Charlotte vs. Lacey: Ric Flair On A Pole ?

Just put Ric Flair, Judy Bagwell, and the viagra on a pole.

It'll end up a completely disgusting sideshow to the actual match kinda like the dogs humping and shitting in the Kennel in a Cell match.
