Awesome recovery. Halcon Negro was a total package midcard rudo for mid-90s CMLL - solid worker, great dirtbag look, awesome mask and appropriately scummy music (Motley Crue's "Looks that Kill").

He was so good that he could sub for any of his charges (Bock, Patterson, Stevens) and credibly hit all of their spots.

When we were talking about our personal Mt. Rushmore of wrestling a few years back, I was only half joking about Heenan deserving all four spots for each of his various roles in the biz.
