I remember MVP walking out with a black belt that said strong style in MLW once and laughing as it was lame, but the dude just won a BJJ tournament at purple belt and got promoted to brown belt which is pretty wild. He's 47. I'm a lot younger than him. That's an inspiration for me to get back in shape and start hitting the mats again. I've read some of their stuff over there and listened to Wade Keller's podcasts before but I've never been a big reader/listener over there. What is Mitchell's relationship to Keller? Are they best friends or what's the deal? Because if I'm Keller... I don't think I'd want my writers acting like this. I barely know who Keller and Mitchell are (it's been at least 5-10 years since I surfed the Torch website and I'm completely unfamiliar with Mitchell), but the statement Keller put out about removing the column said Mitchell had written for him for 30 years. I've never heard much about Mitchell before this, so I'm guessing he's not a lightning rod for controversy. All things considered, I"m assuming he's earned the benefit of the doubt from Keller (since Keller presumably knows him irl whereas the rest of us don't). Probably the most memorable ones was an article he wrote about the Gangstas in SMW especially during the Wise WV riot. I remember one where he explained why the New Day was a racist gimmick. Mankind was the first heel wrestler I ever liked, I was drawn to him when he debuted in the WWF in 1996 and he's still one of my ten favourite wrestlers. THAT pop.
