Will Saban getting it be the jolt that causes most people to realize this is still a serious problem? Kind of like Tom Hanks back in March.

It was such a jolt a bunch of more famous people contracted it including the POTUS, the FLOTUS, their son, and 1/3 of the White House staff.

Multiple SEC schools will have revenue from the conference deducted as a result of not following proper COVID-19 protocols, sources told ESPN.

According to a memo sent by SEC commissioner Greg Sankey last week, schools will have their conference revenue distribution cut by $100,000 for each week that they do not follow protocols.

The memo, which was obtained by ESPN, also said that suspensions will be considered for failure to comply.

Underlined and bolded for emphasis, Sankey wrote, "Do not relax -- and do not let those around you relax -- because of a few weeks of success."

But this week has been anything but successful for the conference, as two games -- Vanderbilt vs. Missouri and LSU vs. Florida -- were postponed as a result of coronavirus outbreaks.

Also, Alabama coach Nick Saban and athletic director Greg Byrne announced Wednesday that they had tested positive for the virus.

Nothing says 2020 College football having the head coach and athletic director of the one of the two biggest teams get COVID and not only are we assuming that the Georgia game will happen  but people are trying to figure out how Saban will actually coach the game.

Ole Miss is undergoing quite the market correction this week.  They’ve now thrown 6 (SIX!) interceptions to Arkansas after being almost unstoppable against Alabama last week.

Arkasnas should be 3-1 after this win, but they got screwed by the officials last week.

Let it be said again:  Pete Golding is pure trash.

Fortunately, the offense is incredible and puts a lot of pressure on opposing teams to keep up.  And Georgia could not.

Bama is not missing Tua at all, which was inconceivable coming into tha season.

I don’t know who else you would put over them at this point.   Certainly not any teams that haven’t played a game yet.  OK State is #6 in both polls, and they’ve only played 3 games with zero quality wins.  It just is what it is until the B1G enters the chat this weekend.

The Longhorn Band will not play “The Eyes of Texas” at this Saturday’s football game between the University of Texas at Austin and Baylor University after a survey of members revealed several students are unwilling to play the traditional alma mater song, according to The Daily Texan.

The survey was sent to band members asking if they would be willing to play “The Eyes of Texas,” a song that has divided the university community in recent months over its ties to minstrel shows where performers wore blackface. The Daily Texan reported that a message sent to band members by leader Scott Hanna said the survey results wouldn’t affect whether the band performs at future games. The band has yet to play at a football game this season, due to safety restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

I'm torn on this.

On one hand, I recognize that there are serious issues here related to both historic and present day racism, and I fully respect the players and others for standing up to all of that.

On the other hand, watching Texas tearing themselves apart is the highlight of my week.
