Burgundy LaRue
The line of thinking about income may have more to do with the gun happy crowd who are looking to crown Zimmerman as their new poster boy. Donations from that crowd wouldn't be hard to detect. Not to mention they may need his personal information for that--something a reasonably computer savvy person can intercept and use to track him down and murk him. Elsalvajeloco
Yep. And now we'll resort to name calling and using a hashtag on Twitter so we can feel like we're making a difference. Never have I been more ashamed of my race (a close second is Love and Hip Hop) than when the hoodie thing started last year. This goes especially for all those urban models/strippers/backpage escorts who did it while selling their ass on Twitter and Facebook. Shit, some people need to be hit in the head with a hammer. There is no Twitter avatar or hashtag you can have to affect the outcome of a case one way or another. Does decency and integrity not exist anymore? Newb82
I'm already seeing a "2ND AMENDMAN SUPERMAN" meme on my FB page. There are going to be a lot of people celebrating this verdict for all the wrong reasons.
Charlie M.
How about the people who made money off the BOSTON STRONG thing? "A portion going to charity from my hastily setup internet store, trust me."
Victator
Well let's be honest, the only act that will make a difference is gutting Zimmerman like a pig. Unfortunately people value their freedom more than his death and most of the time the nuts kill good people. Some of us are using twitter or social media, because it makes us feel like we have a sliver of power in the face of a system that does not give a shit. Burgundy LaRue
Folks want to be part of the process, not realizing that what they're doing is nothing with their social media power.
Newb82
As I said after the Boston Bombing, we, as a nation, LOVE our tragedy porn. Although I guess this would classify as outrage porn.
Raziel
In some cases, Social Media is part of the problem. More outrage over something causes decisions to be rushed, and therefore, massive fuckups are made.
Newb82
I really hope nothing happens to one of the jury members. Of all the places to place rage, theirs is the least deserving.
Victator
Without social media, it would have not even went to trial.
jaedmc
I feel our Justice system has failed us again. Hopefully that doesn't continue with the Boston Bomber trial.Oh don't worry, no one involved with that is making it out alive.
Charlie M.
In two days, everyone will be on to their next Sharknado tweet-a-thon and nothing will happen much like with the school shootings. Remember all the change that was going to come from that? Yeah...
Lawful Metal
Just to clarify: A not guilty verdict means nothing more than the State did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Remember all the change that was going to come from that? Yeah... Nobody expects change because the system is fucking fixed. And the racial element is a bit overstated. If this were a poor white teen in a trailer park, nothing would be different. It is a matter of class. The law only gives a fuck if they kill someone from the upper class or one of their own. Newb82
Most people seem to forget the reason why anyone gave two shits about this in the first place is the Sanford PD (which, as I understand, does not have the best of relations with black people to begin with) simply took Zimmethe rman's statement at face value without doing any real follow-up. THAT was the initial outrage, then the DA rushed this into trial without having all their ducks in a row because of the outrage got bigger and bigger.

Gonzalez
You know if someone really wants to take out Zimmerman, all they would really need to do is follow him in the middle of the night, make sure that you and him are the only witnesses, get into a fight with him, and shoot him dead. And as you all know from this trial you'll get off scot-free.

Charlie M.
Based on what I've seen, Zimmerman could have represented himself and got off based on how incompetent the prosecution was.
