A Giants player has tested positive so tonight’s game is off

Ironic it’s the same day as the stories of the MLBPA pushing back on the idea of a playoff bubble because “they don’t need it”

EDIT - tonight AND tomorrow's game already off. And they were supposed to play the Padres

The Cubs' Alec Mills has thrown the season's 2nd no hitter.  12-0 win over Milwaukee.

This is the first time in baseball history that the Cubs and the White Sox throw no hitters in the same season.

Tweet is a few weeks old, but should be relevant for anyone watching the A's and Mariners in Seattle:

AQI in Seattle is 234. NFL's limit is 200.

In Spokane, it was 499 on Sunday. The scale officially goes up to 500. Just visibility-wise, playing would be impossible, let alone the breathing issues.

Here is what the playoff plan that will be announced today or tomorrow will be (which is the one floating around for a couple of weeks)

  • First Round - Higher Seeds Home Park (these are Best of 3s)
  • ALDS and ALCS: played in Dodger Stadium and San Diego's Petco Park
  • NLDS and NLCS: played in Rangers’ Globe Life Field and the Astros’ Minute Maid Park
  • World Series: Globe Life Field

Teams would need to start quarantining in local hotels starting 7 days prior to the start of the playoffs.

Players families have the option to quarantine with the players during that 7 day period and if they do - they will be allowed to join the playoff bubbles

Obviously - to go with the current discussion - assuming that it will be totally fine to play in California is making a really big leap of faith
