LoneWolf&Subs
I’ve never seen that. Kurt Russell Vs. Ray Liotta sounds like a more compelling match up. Might give it a shot. The cop angle makes much more sense of an advantage for the villain than Keaton as a manipulative tenant. odessasteps
Presumably, crooked/psycho cop is more relatable than in 1992 to most people.
LoneWolf&Subs
Post Rodney King though, and post T2. I think audiences were ready for that kind of stuff. But back then it was “A couple of bad eggs”.

It used to be in pop culture, the bad/dirty cops were in NYC or the big East Coast cities and the good cops were in LA or SF. Obviously, the 90s changed that. Curt McGirt
Are there any Chicago-set bad cop movies? I can't think of any off the top of my head. For a city that ran a racist torture racket in their PD for decades, it seems like a natural.
LoneWolf&Subs
Dark Knight? No wait that’s cheating.
Curt McGirt
Yeah, I wasn't talking renegade/vigilante cop movies (Above the Law, Raw Deal, The Untouchables).

Curt McGirt
Dunno, never seen it. I should though, it sounds really good (and of course Robert Forster, so yeah).

Its i guess what we now call a fictional documentary set around the 1968 Chicago convention. Made by Haskell Wexler.

Curt McGirt
Code of Silence is indeed a Chicago film but also another Dirty Harry type.
LoneWolf&Subs
If you think about it, their aren’t many films that star dirty cops, and the ones that do exist are set in LA, or New York. Dark Blue, Copland, Bad Lieutenant, etc... It’s like Chicago slips through the cracks of these setups.
Execproducer
@Curt McGirtWell obviously Chuck wasn't dirty but besides going after drug dealers it's about police covering up a bad shooting. Curt McGirt
Technically he was a 'bad cop', I guess. As in in real life he was an alcoholic who had nothing to do with finally getting Al Capone, the Untouchables film and series being total fiction.
