A job finding dirt on people mostly, no?

You know how when Bob Holly's WWE career was winding down and he was being used as a tv jobber to put over the new talent? His actual job was to make the new kids look good and credible, scoring a win over an establish tough guy. But he somehow decided that he was actually there to instill discipline and respect in the rookies... which he would do by stiffing them,  no selling their offence and sandbagging on their big moves. Right up until he decided to not go up for a Brock Lesnar Powerbomb, and got his neck broke.

Even if Bix's job wasn't to dig dirt on people, he'd think it was.

Signed up to Independent Wrestling TV and am going to binge watch/rewatch a ton of old IWA-MS.

Already saw Wolfie D and Ox Harley throwing shoot fists at each other and somewhat of a riot breaking out. Wild stuff.

Cena should jump to NJPW and teach Master Wato the Lightning Fist. Or maybe go to DDT or NOAH instead, that would be cool. He could face Jun or Muto.

Or to CMLL as Juan Cena.

Forget AEW if I was New Japan I’d back the Brinks Truck up to Cenas house, then once it’s safe to do so Cena takes the US Belt off of Moxley and then there’s the face of New Japan America. Once you can start touring with live crowds Cena’s involvement would help the venture.

No way Cena wrestles in anything but WWE. He wants to go full-time into movies. Why not? He already has had some fun roles. He is legitimately famous and not wrestling famous.

I think he has some really good comedy acting chops. I would not by him as an action star like The Rock. But I could easily see him taking on sizable roles in a Judd Apatow-style comedy more than he already has. He won’t be the lead in anything any good. But he will be fine. He would also be good as the “inspirational coach to a ragtag group of underdogs” too.

Seems like a far cry but we do know he'd at least bother to learn the language.

Just a far cry?

Obviously Cena isn't going anywhere in wrestling that's not WWE, but imagine him and Akiyama teaming up in Noah and challenging for the GHC tag titles as Jun Cena. ?

For some reason, my daughter really wanted to see that movie with Cena as a firefighter.  The theater by my house had a free showing so I took her.  It was free and I still feel like I wasted my money.

Playing with Fire is the movie it’s not very good.

I know Cena isn’t going anywhere but I’d love to see Cena vs Tanahashi at least once as they are each other’s counterpart in many respects.

You say this, but he didn't feel off in those Fast & Furious 9 trailers.

Eh in all seriousness he will just do movies and maybe one offs at Wrestlemanias.

This is exactly what will happen, but i do so desperately want him to do at least one or two dream matches in overseas feds. I specifically want Tanahashi/Cena.

Sadly, the ultimate dream match of Cena vs Tanahashi isn't much of dream anymore. Cena hasn't been remotely good in ring since his 3 way feud with AJ and Moxley. As for Tanahashi, he can go, but man, it feels more and more like he's just mentally holding himself together like a real life Cable. I think a match between the two COULD be good, but it wouldn't be the amazing match it could have once been with two of the best big match wrestlers ever going at it.

Cena vs Tanahashi yes admittedly wouldn’t be as good as it would have been 8 years ago but it would still be pretty good. I think the fans would be very forgiving g as they are both two icons and their way out. The match isnt gonna happen but if it was on a big stage like Wrestle Kingdom where there’s already magic in the air.

This is all hyperbole but if I could fantasy book anything It would be Tanahashi takes the US belt off Moxley then they build towards Tanahashi Vs Cena at the MSG show with Cena going over then being IWGP United States Champion and the face of New Japan of America. It’s never gonna happen but it would change the North American wrestling landscape. New Japan would have no problem getting a US tv deal with Cena around.

Also if Cena was to ever show up in CMLL as Juan Cena he’d have to be in New Balances jorts and a denim mask to match the jorts

Oh my god, this was my realizing that Moxley still has the US title. I mean, just strip Moxley of the title. He's not going to defend it any time soon. Hell, I don't see it being defended until close to the end of the year or early next year.

Maybe Jericho can talk Cena into doing just one match in NJPW.

I want Cena to go to New Japan or AEW just because him being essentially written off by that Firefly Funhouse match would be an amazing way for Cena's WWE career to end. He's utterly deconstructed as a person/character, destroyed, and literally disappeared.

That's the only WWE match that I've seen in four years, and I love it as its own recursive thing.

Re: Cena's movie career, it's too bad that major studios don't really invest in romantic comedies anymore, because Cena as the charming buff dude who loses his fiancee to the main character played by a bumbling Topher Grace is probably the best use of him in pictures.

Hopefully Cena does what Taker did and get outside bookings and have Vince freak out and give him like $5 million for a single match

Maybe we could get that double retirement match that's been bandied about. Although I agree that if the Firefly Funhouse is Cena's last match it's an incredible way to go out.

Stadium Stampede was not cinematic.  It was like a bunch of barely stitched together WWF Hardcore Title matches.

My cinematic sports entertainment power rankings:

1.  Scott Steiner/Josh Mathews vs. Joseph Park/Jeremy Borash

2.  The Sting/Cheatum trilogy

3.  The Final Deletion

The Hardy stuff only works with Jeff, the guy everyone knows is shoot crazy, playing the straight man during all the madness.  I haven't gotten around to WrestleMania or MITB.
