Dana really wants Cody Garbrandt and Mike Perry to be stars, doesn't he.

Cody is back on the winning track, so let's see if Perry can end his losing streak.

I think Perry is a beneficiary of people being unavailable to fight as much someone wanting him to be a star. All the people on the card save for maybe Hooker and Sato are living in North America. Even with Sato though, he's been training at Sanford MMA (fka Hard Knocks 365) in south Florida. If the circumstances were normal, this fight would be headlining the prelims or in the middle of the main card.

Damn, that was like seeing Kay hit her finishing move and knowing it was over. Love both, but had to root for Jinh Yu as my hometown girl (and so close to fulfilling my 2020 prediction). Kay's win over Sharon Jacobson in 2018 is one of my all time favorite finishes. Good fight and a perfect debut for Kay, happy for her.

I got my MMA Julians mixed up and thought it was going to be the "Let me bang, Bro" guy. But it wasn't, it was a guy with a brain instead.

Last time I saw Julian Lane, it was on a CES show on AXS or something.

Anyway, I'm just going mark this as "Submission (Exhaustion)" just like the old Brazilian vale tudo shows in the late 90s/early 2000s.

yeah, that's some 1997 "tap to a hold that's not a submission hold" level stuff
