Spritenaut 32
They don't need to prohibit jokes. Just keep giving work to Snyder and Nolan and the jokes will eliminate themselves
John from Cincinnati
Surprising stance considering the running joke that is Goyer's writing.

Niners Fan in CT
Goyer wrote Blade, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He's better than you and I.
Matt D
I think the fact that the story got so much play is sort of telling though. There's a perception.

Niners Fan in CT
If there's one thing the internet will never run out of it is people complaining. Go anywhere. Comment sections on CNN, Comments on YouTube. Comments on your local newspaper site. Actually, don't read any of those.
Ligerbusa
People are taking it as if WB have slammed their fist down and demanded no jokes, no smiles, no laughter, only death. That's stupid. If it were legit, Jon Schnepp (glasses) explains what it would most likely mean.
John from Cincinnati
Goyer wrote Blade, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He's better than you and I. MoS hurt me to the extent that I've attributed anything good in his other movies to people who aren't David Goyer. I think I'll need a while before the healing can begin. Brian Fowler
Goyer wrote Blade, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He's better than you and I. Blade is not that great of a script, and he only has a story credit on the two Batman films, which were both written by the Nolan brothers. He also wrote Blade Trinity and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, so...

Matt D
Yeah, Goyer's pretty terrible all around. He's like the DC version of Jeph Loeb.

Matt D
Hey, Akiva Goldsman is pretty terrible too. Goyer is someone, who, if put with very competent people with more power than he has, can be a decent collaborator. That's the impression I have from comics, movies, and other properties from the last almost 20 years, and interviews I've read.
odessasteps
Makes you wonder what goyer did when he was co-writing Starman and JSA.
Matt D
I actually think he was a positive force in JSA, reining in Johns' worst proclivities. I like the Goyer issues much more than solo Johns ones after he left.

Elsalvajeloco
There is something I forgot to bring up when I was watching it a couple months ago: Was Kim Basinger awful as Vicki Vale in Batman or is she just an awful actress in general? Brian Fowler
"only a story credit".. Ok, I can see where this is going... Where it's going is that Goyer didn't write the movies. Christopher and Jonathan Nolan did, after Goyer and C. Nolan came up with the basic plot. The movies he actually scripted tend to be fairly fucking awful
