Scorpio was so innovative but man sometimes his matches, especially in ECW, turned him just doing a shitload of moves in a row.

Funny because that pretty much exactly describes the match he had with Sabu in I think FMW. They don't even make a finish and just stop with the bell ringing.

When you REALLY have to escape a hold (look, they can't all be winners):

On the other hand, I like everything about this, including how modern the crowd interaction seems. Amor is like the best possible mix between Brody and Sandow:

Tremendous stuff all around:

Can someone with the technical ability reverse gif that first one. You know it would be worth it.

Just a reminder that Battlarts was the best

It really sucks ass that we lost a lot of peak Otsuka years to his quixotic MMA career.

With the recent wrestling news going on I needed this laugh.  Thank you and @Matt D kindly for this.

And BattleArts was something I was going to check over the weekend anyway.  Seeing the gifs just has me that much more excited.

They said they have more Bat-Bat shows that they're editing and getting ready to upload, but also that the more shows people watch, the more shows Battlarts will send them, and that's the case with 'a lot of' their international partners. Meaning the other Japanese promotions (Freedoms, Big Japan, Sendai Girls and Pure-J) and maybe the Mexican or UK/Euro ones too.

Re: Those BattlARTS cards, there looks to be plenty of good stuff on them. I didn't know Fujita Jr. Hayato was in the promotion at all, though it makes total sense. Sawa was another sawed off young bastard like him back then too. And I can for a fact say that Kazunari Murakami/Yuki Ishikawa vs Daisuke Ikeda/Daisuke Sekimoto was great as I've posted it here for Secret Santo already. If I had the service I'd run through all four of them in a row myself and recommend doing that, or at least giving one of those cards a full try-out.
