NikoBaltimore
I need to see if I still have it but I know I picked up a GBA game for Ultimate Muscle around that time. Maybe it was an American port of the same game? The name sounds a bit familiar but can't say for sure. Either way it was fun though a tricky at first. I know I didn't do story mode and just did random matches. EDIT: Hey, I still have it! And boy is it still tricky trying to play again after going so long without it. Now the Gamecube version that came here was so, so fun to play. I spent hours using all the characters and my friends would get a good laugh at it all. I haven't been able to find it since and it's discouraging seeing how expensive it is online. Hopefully it turns up somewhere as that'd be great to play again. Tromatagon
Is the PS2 sequel Galactic Wrestling any easier to find?
dragonzombie
I posted the Japanese GBA version of the Ultimate Muscle game. Beating the story and survival modes unlocks more wrestlers. There are two Kinnikuman games for WonderSwan Color. One was a modern remake (at the time) of the NES game with the newer characters and another was an RPG game https://youtu.be/cS81JooQFjU?si=fdO_IPJq5C_P3KH1 https://youtu.be/4O2gER79gVo?si=e8FAqC5_CqI_QSTc

It's a little bit easier but a quick search shows they want anywhere from $78-$100 for it. I still have my PS2 but dropping that much coin on a PS2 game still feels wrong to me. dragonzombie
There was a 2006 Kinnikuman PSP game which is like the Gamecube and PS2 games. Online was added and 3 more wrestlers. Then AKI made those Kinnikuman: Muscle Grand Prix fighting games for Arcades and their PS2 expanded ports. And over the years bunch of mobile games. Ramo2653
Ok between the Dijak and Davenport Live Events I want to know how many people people actually got the Apex tier rewards. You'd have to use the worst available cards (Bronze with no slots to add sideplate stat boosters) and beat the best available tier of cards in 5 minutes and they require 90 points which means you'll need to accomplish 6 of the match objectives which are mostly based on your wrestlers archetype. An example would be Sheamus being a striker and rewards for him would be 10 light attacks, 25 strikes and making your opponent's head red in the damage graph. The universal objectives are taunts and hitting your signature and finishers. And your opponents have an ability to kick out of anything once in a match. Oh and the Blair event is 2 out of 3 falls. In what world can you beat Blair Davenport 2 times in 5 minutes.

Man, I didn't even notice the time limits, and after not making it to the 5 minutes twice with Axiom against Dijak I literally had Blair down for 2.5 with Fallon, thinking "yes! First fall is mine!" And then the bell rang for the draw and I realized that I would not be making another attempt.

Cliff Hanger
I don't know Post Malone's music beyond the song from Spider-Man and the ones from this and last year's WWE games, so it's possible he just doesn't have any appropriate songs. But it's really funny to see this year's musical guest not even use their own song as an entrance.

They spent more time on the Rock and Roman 2024 Persona cards from last month than they did the Wednesday drop. I am kind of ashamed how badly I want those DeMastered (No Mercy-level models) personae. Not enough to spend real money on gacha bullshit, but I would have seriously considered a pack that auto-awarded nothing but those.
odessasteps
I spent real money (an Xbox gift card) on last weeks MLB the show pack for the NLBM even in Birmingham since partof the Monet went to the local museum in Alabama.
Cliff Hanger
That I could see doing; it's really the gacha part of the equation. I am happy to spend money on cool things in games but I fucking hate spending my limited gaming budget on a CHANCE to get something in a game I already spent $60 in cash and $40 in gift cards to buy. 16 minutes ago, odessasteps said: I spent real money (an Xbox gift card) on last weeks MLB the show pack for the NLBM even in Birmingham since partof the Monet went to the local museum in Alabama.
Cliff Hanger
So, I haven't had much time to fool with 2k today, but: --The long shot I'd hoped for of Sherri's version of "Sexy Boy" being added didn't happen. I didn't expect it, but I hoped. New locker code on the home screen. --two DLCs in a row where everyone is either a Striker or Technician. The McAfee pack eating 5 slots means this whole year is too light on both women (even though the Sept pack is 4/7 women) and people who fall into the other 2 archetypes. --Post Malone's theme is by Militarie Gun, who provided my favorite song to this year's menu music but isn't half as good as that song was. ("Do It Faster" is one of the most perfect throwbacks of the 21st century, 2 minutes of the Platonic ideal of "jangle rock.") Much like "Bad Reputation" for Ronda Rousey, it isn't in the Jukebox and can't be used for anyone else. I still think it's funny that they thought he couldn't use one of his own songs. --it looks like the full list of DeMastered persona cards is Asuka, Belair, Woods (shown in ads or on UUDD), Michin, Reigns (press releases) and Raquel Rodriguez (there's a new ??? line in the roster between her and Ravishing Rick Rude, and Raquel seems much more likely.) Ramo2653
Since they put the Tozawa live event back up I did it again and got 15,000 points so I rolled the dice on another pack of the singlet cards. No dice. Also, I think the trick to the Davenport live event is to try to cheese 2 count out wins. But you still need to hit the 90 points requirement which isn't easy. I'd love to ask a developer what they were thinking.
Ramo2653
Did the Cody birthday event last night with the Sheamus card you get from reaching a collector level (what a beast of a card) and that wasn't too bad even with Cody being a 99, him starting with 3 finishers and you can't see any meters which actually was nice for decluttering the screen. Took me about 8 tries to get all 4 rewards and then I spent some time to upgrade the Priest card from Ruby to Amethyst. Now if we can only get more high end women's cards.

dragonzombie
I was gonna post about earlier builds and protoypes of WWF No Mercy days ago, but somebody uploaded 3 of them on reddit to use. Reality is funny. The games have their differences.
dragonzombie
The first E3 WWF No Mercy build looks like Wrestlemania 2000 but with the menus in blue. Not much options and modes can be selected. Engrish typos. At one time signs could had been selectable, but the option doesn't come up. Only play modes are singles and tag matches. Guest ref mode is in. Only one same costume each for the 6 selectable wrestlers. Their costumes are different from the final game. Full entrances but no vids though. Ladder weapon can be obtained from the crowd. Only one early Smackdown arena. Two tables, however seems no one can't get on those tables. The backstages aren't implemented. The second and 3rd builds that were rom dumped are closer to the final game but Big Show is in and some things are unfinished like the rings and the storymodes. The press start screen is different The early story mode is the same for all belts and short. Two unused gameboy storymodes that cant be selected. Lot of engrish. Some special moves from the Muscle anime in the caw mode, (muscle buster) while other moves are omitted. The muscle moves are listed as game boy moves. Lillan Garcia was originally going to be in. The records from the old pictures doesn't work. Some of the debug is messed up around the game. The shop mode isn't fully realized. No Ironman Match. The entrances are in length down to coming down to the ring. I will post screenshots taken by me later.

Cliff Hanger
So the full list of new factions (complicated by the fact that the logos appear to have been scrambled on the "resume run" tab) are: Sunreys (like the Cenation and Deadman Inc, it's 4 versions of Rey--Amethyst '06 identical to the Live Event card, Ruby WCW Rey, Ruby Rey 2011 and Sapphire modern Rey), Night Night (Sleeper users, red Piper and Lashley, blue DiBiase and Karrion Kross), Damage CTRL (purple Bayley, red Asuka and Iyo, blue Dakota), Tap Squad (purple Carmella and Asuka, red Becky identical to other OVR 84 Becky's, blue Charlotte) and The Odd Squad (uh, purple Bayley, red Cora Jade, blue Fallon Henley and Molly Holly?!) So far I've only fought the Tap Squad and unlocked Carm, who at OVR 87 is now my highest-statted character in the mode. And finally, after 4 months and using two different submission stat boosters applied, I FINALLY got five taps as Tyler Bate to upgrade that card.
