AxB
I haven't got instagram. That was a guess. You still haven't apologised for stealing my prediction. Which happens to be the only one you've ever gotten right.

Peck
God damn that was a fun main event. Laughed out loud at the Sammy bump from the golf cart.
AxB
I liked the bit where after the TV show finished but the Fite feed was still live, you could hear TK saying "Fucking nailed it. Fucking nailed it!" 5
EVA
That streetfight started out kinda “blah” but once it went backstage, it was a blast. Guys just doing insanely reckless shit. How is Sammy not in a wheelchair from that golf cart bump?
For Great Justice
That main event was fun as hell. I am sure many will question a choice of a big crowd brawl in your first show with a crowd given all that's going on. I won't go there - I just enjoyed the match. Sammy made that golf cart look like Brock Lesnar on that bump. Holy shit son. Ending image was top notch. Casey
As far as garbage matches in AEW goes, that's up there with Omega/Moxley from Full Gear for me. Jesus christ that was so much fun. FUCKING NAILED IT is right. Matt Hardy doing two wardrobe changes in one match is crazy. He seems to be moving a lot better now too, post-WWE and knee surgery. That powerbomb on Sammy was nuts, I wasn't expecting that. Sugar Dunkerton vs Chris Jericho next week? What even is 2020 now? That's insanity. I'm sure @West Newbury Bad Boy has some thoughts about the Dark Order returning to the main event scene, but I'm perfectly okay with Brodie Lee being in the main event. Not entirely sure what to think about the Jake Roberts/Archer/Cody/Brandi stuff. The jury is out on this one as of right now, for me. I dug the Archer/QT match, though. I still think QT is pretty good in the sense that he shouldn't ever get big wins, but he's impressive when he's in the ring in a sloppy sort of way. It's hard to explain what I'm trying to say. Basically I enjoy it when the guy works with people more established than himself, rather than teaming with Dustin and actually getting wins. I didn't watch the Cody/Janela match because I was playing Animal Crossing and not paying attention. I saw Cody shook his hand after the match or whatever. Darby Allin getting an offer from Taz to be a mentor of sorts? Hmmm... that's an odd pairing, but we'll see where that goes (if anywhere). Oh yeah - I'm a little disappointed the Casino Battle Royale isn't returning, maybe they'll save that for the women at All Out or something? I hope this ladder match still has like 20 people in it, just to be different and fucking bonkers. Edited May 7, 2020 by Casey

Just Dave
I'm thinking that Casino ladder match will be some sort of response to MITB, @Casey. I bet we get some insane shit. I'm thinking with so much uncertainty around DoN, they picked a #1 contender that needed very little build. I don't think this'll be a long program, but one that makes sense. Mox should win here, keep building momentum for a big program in the fall.

It was a pretty cool concept, I thought. And the videos we got for the women's version with Jake being a blackjack dealer was fucking cool. It's AEW, I have faith they'll take the concept of a multi-person ladder match and make it crazy as shit and put their own spin on it. They've got the guy who came up with the idea of MITB in the first place, so I'm sure he might have a thing or two to add.
DreamBroken
F'n LOVED the main event. What a fantastic street fight, perfect use of the stip/gimmick and venue which looked great all the way through. Dig Kenny and Sammy coming in the proper kneepads over the jeans street fight attire. Matt dipping in and out of his two characters was great. Kenny's moonsault off the scissor lift was amazing. The wrestlers following the action to the back. Had a nice energy and excitement throughout the show. Total blast. Hell of an angle with Brandi getting the snake, didn't expect that. Laughed at JR's "That went out in the 90s!" Britt using the DDT was a nice touch. Really great build up for Archer/Cody, I'd like to see that main event the PPV. Don't really care for Lee/Moxley, screams throwaway to me but at the same time that's probably better than wasting a bigger match or just tossing out a Jericho rematch for this show. The setup was not bad though. Thought Kazarian looked great in there for a match he obviously had no shot in. Really liked Cody/Janela as well, Cody was on fire as usual throughout. Great show that felt like it kicked things back into a bit of a higher gear and definitely put some better build up towards the PPV. Liked all the stuff setup for next week to look forward to.

Casey
I bet the Elite Deletion happens at Double Or Nothing. I'm interested to see how AEW does a cinematic match - give Nick Mondo whatever he needs and let everyone go crazy with it.
notoriusvig
This was certainly the most must-see show they've done since COVID started. My one gripe is having dozens of people there at one time, but they were careful and a lot of people were wearing masks too. The optics though but I guess DeSantis can't shut them down without shutting down his cashcow WWE too. The main event was a blast, like someone else said. The golf cart spots were wild and fun and Kenny looked great tonight. The Matt Hardy changing gimmicks spots were goofy but they worked. Brodie Lee looked and sounded great and I'm sure his match with Moxley will be good. The Mox/Kazarian was pretty good and you can tell they went out there and tried to have a good match. Cody/Janela was pretty decent and Cody seemed to work more like a face this week. Archer still looked amazing and I bet he'll take the belt at DON with Cody chasing down the road. The Spears vignette added a little to this story too. Nyla was ok but Britt was better. Someone needed to go find her shoe, for christ sake. DON is finally getting some matches, which is good. The atmosphere tonight was better than it's been since COVID started and everyone seemed to be having fun. I'm glad they tested everyone, or at least they say they did. Pineapple Pete/Jericho should be fun too.
LoneWolf&Subs
Sammy is crazy... ...And yes I loved the Hardy gimmick switch bit. What a great addition to make that gimmick work again. The Jake angle didn’t work for me. I didn’t care for the contrived way they knocked out Brandi. At least the match was fun, but yeah that didn’t work. If they wanted to do something they should’ve just had Jake cut a promo on Dustin, and the way Cody “Let his brother down”. Plus that was a really tiny snake for Jake.
