Its a double humble brag. Not only am i the best in the world now, but i also once was years earlier too.

genius

It goes with his character. Why not keep such a tweet up? It seems silly to delete it. I mean save the Twitter deletes for when you actually say something stupid you do regret.

I don't have any idea why he deleted it, but I tend to agree with him. 50 fucking years old, making everyone he comes in contact with look like a million bucks. The dude has kept himself relevant and been just as entertaining as ever before with every reinvention. This is a dude in the twilight of his career using every ounce of his learned skillset to build a brand new national company. That's a pretty goddamn special thing to do.

He may not be best in the world now, but he's the best over-50 guy in wrestling today , and his overall body of work puts him top-10 all time, sniffing top-5 territory.

Hangman is legitimately the funniest guy in pro wrestling today. The clanking of bottles in his duffel bag got me good.

edit: lol'd at Omega's self-aware bit. Well played. BONUS: MOOKIE GHANA cuts a promo!

My god. Mookieghana being on Dynamite and now on BTE is really adding to this whole 2020 is the weirdest timeline thing. I know Mookie has worked for AEW since nearly the beginning, but it's still crazy. It's probably up there with Tom Lawlor and Bill Barnwell doing their own respective things.

And yeah, Hangman is the wrestler in the US from any promotion I miss seeing. That was such a money storyline with Kenny, Hangman, and the Bucks and now it's been completely sidelined.

At some point when they can get back to those storylines they may have to do a clip show or something and bring everyone back up to speed.

Yeah, I heard Sting might be headed AEW’s way. I’m sure Sting appreciated being in the WWE once, but they never used him right, and he never felt like he should’ve been there. Did give him enough exposure to make some extra cash on the autographed scene, but ultimately it was a failed run in terms of creative.

“Sleep all night and stay up all day!”

Also Matt in the beginning is me every day for the last couple months (minus ftr).

Didn't Sting only have one match, that he lost? Can you really call that "a run"?

After the HHH match, he wrestled Rollins in his final match where he got injured. The week before that, he worked one Raw against Big Show that turned into Sting/Cena vs. Show/Seth.

Sting to AEW?  That's awesome.  Considering he did Starrcast before Full Gear I wonder if talks started around then and they couldn't officially do anything until now.  I would at least like to think that considering it was held in Baltimore but I'm not The Shadow.

I see four matches that could have been leftovers from the tapings.  But yeah, there's five that have people that just came back.  Even with it being all squash matches that could be enough to get back to their regular hourly time frame.  But I'm all for giving indy wrestlers a payday in these times.  Kind of makes me wonder if they'll be used for the casino ladder match on DoN.

I did hear that the indie guys doing AEW corona era shows are not only getting a payday, but getting an above rate payday.

That’s true, a lot of these are good ways to eliminate ring rust. You know if they want to get guys more reps they could start filming Dark matches more earlier before what is traditionally bell time for Wednesday. There probably won’t be that many people in their seats by 7, but it beats trying to tell these fans to stick around for post show pre-lims.

Edit: I’m referring when they go back to a regular arena schedule

What can Sting offer at this point? Maybe a match if he’s doing the same steroid treatments as Goldberg, and Nash have gone through. Could be an agent role. I think a manager role could be his future, but the only people I can see him manage are the Dark Order, mostly due to his height.
