Ultimo Necro
Wondering if they have a list of talent who have previously requested their release and they are working through that first?

hammerva
Okay that makes sense. I mean I know Vince has a big man fetish still but getting rid of Anderson and keeping Gallows would have been dumb Edited April 15, 2020 by hammerva

Godfrey
Expected but no less sad that it was. Sucks for anyone losing their income right now but considering what's going down in WWE these days maybe it's for the best for some people.

hammerva
Most of the names frankly make sense. The ones so far that are surprising is Lio Rush, Anderson, and Gallows HEATH SLATER TOO Edited April 15, 2020 by hammerva
(BP)
The one person I know over there just got furloughed until July at the earliest, and I thought they were relatively safe. Sucks shit.
Pete
Can't believe they released Maverick after he cut that fantastic promo to set up the 205 tourney.

steve
Gallows and Anderson had to see this coming, what with AJ being dead and all. 2 1

Eivion
No surprises on Gallows, Anderson, Hawkins, EC3, Rush, & Young. They probably should have happened a while ago. Maverick getting released is disappointing and weird considering the Crusierweight tournament. Edit: Slater being gone as well sucks though makes sense. On the other hand if he follows the same path of his 3MB brethren this could mean we end up with Heath Slater WWE champ in a few years after he returns. Ziggy
I wouldn't be surprised if Lio Rush comes back if he doesn't break out in AEW. Maverick has a hot wife, he's winning still .

My recollection was they were locked in for 3-5 years. I want them in AEW with the emphasis on tag teams, and of course the Bullet Club connection makes sense there, but they'd be a really welcome addition to the NWA if they start running Powerrr again. Even Karl as a singles would be awesome on that show.

LoneWolf&Subs
A lot of the guys being released were only signed to longer lucrative deals to avoid them giving AEW talent(And the company had gotten that TV & Blood money). AEW sure isn’t going to sign them right now, and WWE is bleeding money from this. They were always expendable. They might get signed on again, but probably won’t be making the same amount as the last time. Edited April 15, 2020 by LoneWolf&Subs
