Or is it simply a matter of 'you're not allowed an opinion cause you weren't there, man'.

Isn’t that pretty much how Bischoff has always been? Anyone who doesn’t see things his way isn’t allowed to have an opinion.

Matt Hardy has announced a few minutes ago that he has left WWE. Matt also made it known he is now a free agent and will be watching and learning about all the possible options out there in the world of Professional Wrestling. Matt said it was creative differences between himself and WWE which led to the split.

"Creative differences" being that Hardy is creative and WWE's army of writers and crazy old people are not.  The Hardys returned with an incredibly hot gimmick and meant nothing months later.  Story of WWE...everything they touch turns to shit.  Jesus Christ himself could come back and they'd have him in the Performance Center for 6 years and then consider a program with Satan before deciding to hold back and put him in the midcard.

Tony could have responded by asking how Bischoff's tenure on Smackdown worked out.

Eh the Hardys came in as themselves. Their hot gimmick was not available to due to legal battles with TNA. When they finally got back said gimmick WWE used it. It mostly died because Matt needed to heal from inuries.

They kind of half assed the Broken universe stuff though. Didn't go balls out with it like Impact. Didn't even call it Broken, and switching it to Woken was pretty tone deaf considering how the definition of Woke has shifted lately.

Mat's 45 years old and his knees don't bend.

He got the return pop but then Jeff got hurt and the chance to be 'Broken' with Bray in a tag team that kind of flopped but got a chance. Like what else are you going to do with him and who are you going to sacrifice to do it?

The obvious answer is have Matt as the Exalted One. You don't have to sacrifice anyone for him. Have him in a mostly non-wrestling role, but on a rare occasion where he wrestles in a mutiman match, have him lose the fall in order to elevate whomever has beaten him.

They would sacrifice him for a retired Stone Cold to make a 3:16 reference to get a pop then job him out to Moses at Mania.

You guys in here discussing homegrown while 53-year old Goldberg from WCW 1998 is headlining WrestleMania this year.   Jericho and Mox had been wrestling a long time before ever going to WWE and they've been wrestling since leaving.   WWE is a stop along the way for most people unless your name is John Cena.
