Wrestling Machine vs Wrestling Machine

DEAN

Konosuke Takeshita is a wrestling machine.  Chris Brookes is a British guy who wrestles mainly in Japan thus he is becoming a wrestling machine.

EDIT because I was a bit of a jerk about the last one. Metallik and ZSJ had a fine match, it just wasn't what I wanted. They are still Wrestling Machines.

This, though, is a Wrestling Machines Match. With all the faults it encompasses.

Hmmm, that's an interesting thought that Bryan either sticks with WWE from here on out or retires when his contract is up. I would hope he'd have at least one last run outside of WWE working with whomever he wants before hanging it up.

This is absolutely true: in July of 1984 Sonny Two Rivers and The Masked Superstar wrestled around the circuit for Stampede.

It is a crying shame that there is apparently no footage of this, since it is without a doubt the ne plus ultra of wrestling Machine vs wrestling Machine match-ups.

This is a great Broken Down Wrestling Machine vs Broken Down Wrestling Machine match.  Of course, Chono is a total dick in this, but Fuchi is also a total dick in this;  the pinnacle being 16:15.

The Spoiler Don Jardine, who was the Super Destroyer in Mid-Atlantic when I was a wee lad,  often wrestled Wahoo McDaniels.  Here I get to see it as an old person.  I realize that they were both wrestling machines.

Harley Race was the world champion of my childhood.  I remember being a tiny little fat boy when he came into the Mid-Atlantic territory and had a match on TV versus Wahoo McDaniel and I remember it being he best match I had ever seen.  I'm guessing it was like this but without the blood and the clean finish.  Yes, these were two wrestling machines.

04/27/14 at thee 2300 Arena I escorted my young daughter to see a Masked Mania lucha show, and boy howdy was it muy bueno. She brought flowers for Cassandro, I paid like a mark for a pic with Sabu and her (when she hit the "pointing to Allah" pose he cracked up), the minis!, and heel Cassidy - so good. The match that blew me away was Negro Navarro v. Solarr. I recalled it now due to Dean's postings above of the match archetype I never knew I loved before: Grizzled Wrestling Machine against Grizzled Wrestling Machine. Lierally, the kind of match where you realize that those two raw-boned codgers gave FORGOTTEN more about rassling than all the rest of the greenhorns on the card might ever know.

And it breaks my carny heart to realize after watching that VICE doc S2E1a, that no money mark, however moneyed or marky, will ever be able to promote Malenko v. Guerrero 30 Years Later. That was/still is my "shit", as the kids say, and those matches, those two great workers and yes, even Mr. Paul Heyman, were able to open a lot of people's eyes as to thee possibilities of what pro wrestling could be. It was some real machining there, lads...

on thee sentimental tip,

RAF
