Bull Of The Woods Championship.  Instead of a title belt they get a hilariously oversized cowboy boot and maybe a cowboy hat too.  Like the TV title with 1 fall, 10-minute time limit matches but with each victory Tony Khan shoves a wad of money into the boot.  Champion can cash out and take the money and run or choose to keep the title and let it ride for double the bonus money with the next defense and the bonus money continues to double with each defense.  Champ retains on a draw but receives no cash bonus.  If the champ loses then they lose the entire pot to the challenger as well.

Cody probably has the Bunkhouse Stampede boot somewhere.

If they bring back the TV Title, have it hidden in a garbage can somewhere in the building and everyone has to have a scramble match to find it.

It should be like the Hardcore belt in Noah. Defend it in non-televised matches, so we never get to see Janela, Havoc, and Sabian ever again.

Man, I miss the Bunkhouse Stampede.  My first ever Crockett house show was a Stampede tour card in Baltimore.  As a kid who'd only ever been to WWF house shows, that was something else.

Here's the full recap from that C2E2 panel.

Quote
  • Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, and Excalibur are on stage
  • Excalibur asks about how All In was a test to see if they could compete with WWE. WWE gets booed and Cody asks, “What? Did they get bad press yesterday?” Lots of yelling, they move along...
  • Excalibur asks about @PWTees @ColtCabanaand the others that paved the way for AEW. Cody jokes that Ryan Barkan has an ego. They then bring up Tony Khan and how influential he has been. They praise his mind. Cody says Tony once gave a match of his a really bad review online.
  • Excalibur notes that @TonyKhan met @JRsBBQ at All In and that’s where everything started to come together
  • Matt talks about how they were originally just going to announce another show last NYE but the AEW trademarks leaked so they decided to announce the whole promotion. They all talk about how miserably cold that night in Tokyo was they filmed the NYE announcement vignette.
  • Cody talks about how Jericho wanted a serious meeting with them early before he signed and they invited him to a TGIF in Japan. They got the “backstage” private room. Cody notes Jericho seemed underwhelmed by the meeting.
  • Excalibur describes the AEW locker room as a mix of guys who are cool from the indies and the other guys with “PTSD”. Huge laugh. Cody then praises Dean Malenko for having a cool head backstage. Excalibur notes he has the best sense of humor of anyone in the locker room.
  • Cody notes that Dean and MJF will be playfully mean back and forth to each other backstage and it’s really something to watch. MJF gets loudly booed.
  • Matt and Cody note that one of their original AEW signings took place at the TGIF. Matt says it was Tony’s idea to do the Jacksonville rally. Matt says he was ready to go to Disney World with his family and Tony told him to cut the vacation short. He sent a private jet.
  • Matt talks about how sick his kids got on the flight and how beat he was at the rally. His eyes were bloodshot. They talk about all the pyro at the stadium and Cody notes how Tony owns that parking lot. He was very clear about that.
  • The Bucks talk about how challenging it was to stay interesting after the rally when nothing was really happening. They talk about working indies then and how a lot of AEW talent started doing it. They note fans chased them like The Beatles at a Bar Wrestling show.
  • Matt notes in the beginning none of them knew what they were doing and were all wearing 25 hats. Says they micromanaged #DoubleOrNothing and we’re just ready to have it done by day of. Questions how they’d do weekly TV.
  • Excalibur talks about the production team being assembled from scratch like the wrestling roster. Matt talks about how Excalibur was one of the first people they knew they’d hire. Says they like his look at the desk in a mask.
  • Cody says that pairing Excalibur with Jim Ross is all about bridging tradition and what is new. Says a good snapshot of AEW is Tully Blanchard staring across the ring at @orangecassidy and taking it seriously.
  • Excalibur says Tully told him that Orange gets a big pop and that’s all that matters. Cody says they are trying to serve all fans and give a lot of everything with their product. Notes that the gauge of what works is what gets a pop and makes the crowd happy. Loud applause.
  • Excalibur brings up how last minute @KennyOmegamanX requested a stack of giant poker chips for DoN. Cody notes how those chips would have cost a lot less money if he’d have asked earlier. Says they could’ve been $2500 but wound up $7000. Say it was worth it.
  • Cody notes Keith once let @ScottSteiner walk a tiger to the ring in WCW so he’s not allowed to turn down ideas.
  • Excalibur says there is no blueprint for #AEW so there is a lot of experimenting. Matt teases the staging for #AEWRevolution and notes there will be interactive elements. He doesn’t want to spoil anything.
  • Matt says TNT and Cody wanted time name the weekly show AEW Revolution. They claim Tony Khan had always envisioned the show being called Dynamite so they saw through his vision. Notes they did tests and Dynamite resonated better too.
  • Cody talks about being on his little entrance elevator at the first Dynamite taping and says @TheBrandiRhodes asked him how he was feeling and he couldn’t even answer. He was speechless.
  • Other last minute requests from Kenny Omega: breakable glass table, barbed wire wrapped broom. Notes Keith Mitchell is an unsung hero backstage, used to work for WCW, and it’s amazing seeing his reaction to Kenny’s request.
  • Nick says the fans are part of the show. Cody says he told WarnerMedia that other than Jericho their biggest star was their fans. All agree the crowds have stayed consistently on fire reaction wise. Say KC last week was particularly hot.
  • Nick says Omega vs PAC in an Iron Man match was the best televised pro wrestling match ever.
  • Cody talks about how different he is than The Bucks but says he respects how well they handle their meet and greats. Says they weren’t famous five minutes ago and now they are and they are still some of the best people on earth.
  • Audience Q&A is beginning now
  • Fan Question: What is your most embarrassing moment coming to the ring? Cody: Says he went to powerslam no one the night after #FullGear. Matt: Says he gets so energetic at PWG shows he’ll slip in the aisle. Nick: Says he slipped flipping into a Meltzer Driver at Beyond.
  • Fan Question: Is there an update on a UK, Mexico or Canada AEW PPV? Cody: For sure one in the UK this year. Notes Tony owns the Four Seasons in Toronto. Cody bets the fan $100 they’ll make it to Canada for a PPV this year.
  • Fan Question: How did Omega coming to the ring as Undertail? Cody: All Kenny’s idea. Notes it resonated.
  • Fan Question: Were the plans always to make @TheFlipGordon a masked character of #AllOut? Cody: Says he hates Flip Gordon but The Bucks love him LIKE A DOG. Excalibur: Calls him a flat earther. Matt: Talks about how big the pop was when he won the battle royal.
  • Fan Question: What old time match gimmicks they’d like to bring back? Cody: Teases they will announce a very old school match at the PPV tomorrow that will probably make some people very, very mad
  • Matt talks about how he thinks the AEW cage is three feet too high. Nick notes he was scared to climb that high. Cody says he wanted to give people their money with the moonsault. Shows off his broken toe.
  • Fan Question: Whose idea was #InnerCircle? Nick: Talks about a secret meeting they had with Tony they day after #AllIn. Notes they wanted The ELITE to feud with a stable led by Jericho.
  • Fan Question: Who are their Smash (Bros?) spirit animals? Cody: Link but specifically Toon Link. Says The Bucks are Mario and Luigi but won’t say who is who. Notes he hurt himself dressed as Bowser and TNA was really mad... not clear why.
  • Fan Question: Is there an AEW video game update? Cody: Asks if they want an AEW video game (HUGE POP). Says everything the fans have wanted they have done. Notes there is a specific engine fans want and it takes time. Teases Kenny will have a more detailed answer soon.
  • Fan Question: Who on the indies they want in AEW? Cody: Says he has to ask Ethan Page about Danhausen and says both those guys are DIY guys he wants. Notes Ethan is with Impact and he wanted him. Says he’ll look at JP WarHorse soon.
  • Fan Question: Why Cody told Chuck Taylor he can’t say the s-word on #AEWDynamite? Cody: Says they only get so many and Chuck is a sweet man who doesn’t need it. Nick: Says he had a live mic this last Wednesday and didn’t take advantage of it

AKI inspired video game confirmed. That, and all but confirming the UK PPV this year (pandemic permitting) are big milestones.

Even more than that, they are really hitting their stride in building to a PPV with high stakes and multiple storylines that matter and could go in all sorts of intriguing ways. Previous big shows had 1-2 hooks and then basically 'Matches 3-8: Great Wrestling' as the hook for the rest. Between this factor and the consistently great Dynamites they have found their groove.

Sounds like Cody is pretty confident of a Canadian PPV this year. The last time he made a bet, we got All In. So...

And there’s only one ppv after all out. I’ll take his $100 bet that there won’t be a U.K. or Canada ppv this year. Hopefully some dynamites which would be cool.

Cant wait for details about the game to come out.

I don't see them doing either of those destinations for a PPV this year. Maybe one next year and then another the year following unless they're increasing the amount of PPVs they run, which I hope they do not.

Can you fucking imagine a company giving us this great of a weekly TV show, quality PPVs, and an AKI wrestling game? And that they'd still have a bunch of haters too.

Jericho said as much that when he was first approached they didn't have all of the details lined up and I think it wasn't until he met TK that he got it or was sold by it. When it comes to the business, Jericho is pretty smart and I'm sure he was probably very leery of a bunch of indy and NJPW dudes running a big promotion with a money mark and then meeting TK let him know TK wasn't just a money mark and this was for real.

In Japan, the Bucks' restaurant policy is to always go to Flydays, unless there's a Hard Cock Cafe available.

EDIT: See how there's a PPV Saturday? Are we getting Dark early like we did the week of Full Gear?

I'd copy what the NWA is doing with their TV belt, but you draws don't count as wins.

1 fall, 15 minute matches, you win, you get a medallion to put on the belt.  7 Medallions, you get a title shot the next week and a battle royal to determine the next champ.  DQ/CO= you lose the belt.

contenders are chosen from all the eligible match winners from the previous week, challenger is announced on Friday (winning in a tag match puts you in the drawing, so it could be anyone from Mox to Marko Stunt- luck of the draw).

The Wells Fargo Center posted part of the Elimination Chamber card on their website. Apparently The Revival aren’t being booked for the Elimination Chamber Tag Title Match. So more fuel to the Revival going to AEW rumors.

Also, a special pre-PPV episode of AEW Dark airs in a minute...

Between the pyro incident and Hager having some problems with the goat, I think they should declare a moratorium on bringing pets and/or animals out in front of a live audience.
