Doc Townsend
Limited Run Games held their not-E3 presentation today. I'm kinda curious to hear people's reactions. I was kinda underwhelmed by a lot of the announcements. Not a terrible slate, but not up to the quality of previous year's presentations, imo. A number of games I'd normally put in my "maybe" category but will probably pass on during the pandemic. The other physical edition publishers have been killing it lately so I'm less eager to put a lot of money out up front for games I'm not legitimately excited about. I'm getting a little more reluctant to give companies like LRG money up front when they can't guarantee what their production or delivery systems will look like in three months. Still some cool announcements but less of the "killer ap" titles than in past years. I was probably most excited by Papers, Please for the Vita (which was announced at LRG's 2019 E3 presentation) and a PS4 release of My Friend Pedro (which is being published by one of LRG's partners and just sold on the LRG website, not published by them). I was really hoping for a physical edition of Hades. LRS published Bastion and Transistor by the same developer. Mind-blowing that Braid and Fez have never got physical editions. Boo. Edit: For those that don't want to watch a 50-min video, here's the list: Spoiler The full list of announced games is as follows: A Boy and His Blob (PS4) — September 2020 Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 (Switch, PS4) — TBD Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling (Switch, PS4) — TBD Carrion (Switch) — TBD* Castlevania Anniversary Collection (Switch, PS4) — Q3 2020 Demon Turf (Switch) — TBD Garou: Mark of the Wolves (PS4) — July 2020 Grandia HD Collection (Switch) — August 7, 2020 GRIS (Switch) — TBD* Katana Zero (Switch) — November 2020 Kunai (Switch) — July 8, 2020* MegaDimension Neptunia VII (Switch) — July 28, 2020* Mighty Gunvolt Burst (Switch, PS4) — August 28, 2020 My Friend Pedro (PS4) — TBD* Observer (Switch) — TBD* Papers, Please (Vita) — July 24, 2020 PixelJunk Eden 2 (Switch) — TBD Return of the Obra Dinn (Switch, PS4) — July 24, 2020 More River City Girls — Details TBD Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (Switch, PS4) — TBD Shantae (Switch, GameBoy Color) — September 2020 Shantae: Risky's Revenge (Switch) — September 2020 Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash! Casey
I have no experience buying from LRG themselves, but I did get the collector’s edition they had for a short time of Cosmic Star Heroine for the PS4 from eBay. Mainly just wanted the game and soundtrack, but having a Sega CD style case, two lengthy booklets and a poster were just icing on top. One of the rare times that I’ve played a game on one console (Switch) and bought it on another (PS4).
Andrew POE!
Don't know if it's been mentioned on here, but Bloodstained Curse of the Moon 2 comes out this Friday for consoles and PC. It looks like more Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse so I'll be there day 1.
Doc Townsend
Lol, I guess we’ll have a wave of PS5 remasters to look forward to in 2028 so we can finally have the games in 60 fps like the developers intended.

Or just wait for the PS5 Pro that has more GPU and more RAM. Consoles will never have 60fps for their games designed specifically for the console. At this point, all of this stuff designed to convince me that it's a standalone title and not and add-on just make me think it's an add-on and not really a standalone title. RIPPA
Dont read anything more into it than they were revealing what the new box artwork was. They pretty much had 3 choices for titles they could use SpiderMan: Miles Morales - which generated the response you are having regarding is it stand alone or not Last of Us 2 - which would have lead to yelling about how it already came out (not to mention how toxic the discussion is around that game) Horizon 2 (I cant remember the official name) - which clearly is nowhere near being ready and probably doesn't have canned artwork ready

AxB
Mike Tyson never made it into a WWE game, did he? So Tyson Fury will likely be the first person to appear in both a UFC game and a WWE game... assuming he does go into WWE 2K22 or whatever the next thing is. I am assuming you meant boxer and not just "person" Because Ronda Rousey was in WWE 2K19 Oh and obviously Brock has been in both
