Go back and read or watch some of the horror reviews he did back in the early-mid 80s.  As a horror fan, I think the guy is a complete shitbag.  If you're counting dipshit friends motherfucking people with actual talent, his partner Siskel gave people Betsy Palmer's address and told them to write her and tell her she was a horrible person for doing Friday the 13th, for example.

She just wanted a new car, man.

My favorite blurb on any DVD release is Grindhouse using an Ebert quote about The Beyond out of context. "THE BEYOND does not disappoint."

The quote only condescendingly referred to the gore and special effects though, as he rated the actual movie a 1/2 star.  Those pompous windbags should've stuck to waxing poetic about Meryl Streep unicorn porn.

So what does that mean for NOAH exactly? Will they FINALLY get some sort of TV so they can draw more than 19 people to a show?

Abema TV is going to carry them. Not shockingly, it also is owned by CyberAgent

If you get past the delusions of grandeur, cantankerousness, pigheadedness, PLAYING THE GIMMICK, and generally rude behaviour, I kind of like Alvarez and fuck you if you disagree.

I don’t listen to wrestling podcasts anymore, but I’ll agree that when I did, I found that Alvarez was very entertaining, and naturally charismatic unlike his WOL partner, Meltzer. If he was born ten years earlier the man would’ve been in the WWF since he fit the 90’s Vince mold of desired on-air personalities like Todd Pettengill, and Michael Cole.

Edit: Although, scratch that last part. Vince still likes that mold in-general. That being Dick Clark boyish-charm types. But Vince did like them with more edge back then.

BTW - there are some WWE INSIDERS~!  saying that one of the big reasons WWE $$$ is down is because Vince gave NXT to USA for free. Reasoning was a) to beat AEW and b) to make up for SDL going to FOX

We will see for real when the numbers come out

If you were already doing a weekly show, how much would producing that show yourself for TV have to cost to make that big of a dent? I don't buy that especially when you factor in most of the talent isn't making that much money anyway.

Oh shit, you’re right Meltzer is WOR, and Sempervive is WOL. Regardless Sempervive kinda sucks too. Well in general WOL sucks. The show constantly recaps itself after every commercial break, Sempervive just regurgitates everything Alvarez says, and the majority of callers are the stereotypical shy fanboy who takes an eternity to ask a question. Also there is this one caller who calls into the show that is either a plant, or a guy who always pretends that he’s a first time caller that gets completely under my skin. I think the last two points is what caused me to cancel my F4W subscription for good.

If WWE put NXT on USA for free that's pretty much textbook predatory/anti-trust business and serious lawsuit bait. Of course the current political climate might make that pretty difficult.

Obviously I don't want to get into this in depth because we've all been warned about political discussion, but I sort of feel the opposite in that it might be a welcome distraction for some of those currently running things. You never know.

Ehhh we're not looking at the big picture here anyway.

WWE failed to buy NOAH and DDT succeeded in buying NOAH

DDT>WWE

But we all already knew that.

is it wrong that I am thinking which legend would be or would have been willing to work with Danshoku Dino?  And now awesome it would be

You mean like the time he gave The Hitcher 0 stars based on some incredibly vague notion of immorality that he couldn't even really put into words?

So ummmmmm... Wait till the Thursday quarterly report to buy shares, or buy now?

I wouldn't touch WWE stock either way at the moment.  2017 was the time to buy when it was under $20.   Even $48 now seems like it might be high.
