RIPPA Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Well that okay - supposedly now the Dolphins want Justin Herbert and not Tua which would be like the most Miami thing ever
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 16, 2020 Posted April 16, 2020 Look, all I know is I never want to draft in the Top 5 again (unless it's Houston's pick again - because lol) because there's so much smoke going around the Miami war room, I'd think Ricky Williams is back in the building. I'm still all but sure Tua is the pick, if he's gone, then taking Simmons at 5 and Love at 18 (or trading up with someone like Vegas to take him higher). Of course, if Love is gone, then trading up with whoever gets the #1 pick in '21 and grabbing Lawrence. Which, again, *might* be Houston.
RIPPA Posted April 17, 2020 Posted April 17, 2020 The Lions would like to trade down Now is the chance for your favorite team to take advantage of their stupidity

After all they thought hiring Jason Garrett to be their offensive coordinator was a good idea. Plus we still have the second dumbest GM in the league (only behind that moron the Texans still employ).
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 I wonder if the Rams can get away with drafting zero players:
Brian Fowler Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Remember when Minnesota was late getting their pick in or whatever that one year and got jumped in the draft? The Rams could just wait until the end of the draft and use all their picks. 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Oh that actually reminds me. The NFL has announced that they'll delay punishments (or just forgive teams) for missing the deadline for their picks. This is in case there's an internet issue. Which of course, there will be, because I'll guarantee you they're not doing any kind of smoke test/dress rehearsal for this stupid thing. 1
Death From Above Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 I'm still sad we're not gonna get draft picks riding up to the stage in a boat. One hundred percent someone would have fallen in the Bellagio's fountain on live tv and now I've been denied this simple pleasure. 2

Well the Giants are also trying to trade down too so somehow they will end up fucking each other over

They are doing a mock draft with all the teams tomorrow as a stress test It is two rounds - where they will be using the real prospects but the names will just be randomly pulled from teh pool. Plus they randomized the draft order - the Cowboys are picking first

I think the assumption was that they were going to give it to the new complex in Los Angeles, but given the circumstances of this year's draft, I'd be surprised if they don't give Vegas another opportunity to do it.

Oh they nixed that idea within like 60 seconds of them announcing, because someone pointed out the optics might be bad if they're taking young black men to their employers on a boat... 1
Death From Above Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 I just like jokes that end in someone falling down. Like when Man Getting Hit With Football won best picture. 1
RIPPA Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 The Browns would really really like you to know they aren't trying to trade OBJ including getting Schefter to carry their water. Which totally means OBJ is getting traded 1
RIPPA Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 Multiple reports want you to know that the Niners would love if you took one or both of their first round picks. They have no picks in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th round so they want to get more draft picks.
RIPPA Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 I do wonder how many of these "technical glitches" are because old men don't know how technology works 1 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 The Deuce is showing the 1989 Draft. Kiper is currently livid at the Jets for taking Jeff Lageman.
hammerva Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 I was particularly found of the Joe Theismann not being a fan of the Cowboys drafting Aikman at #1 opinion. That didn't age well As long as it isn't my team impacted by this, I really hope someone hacks into these virtual drafts and makes terrible selections or does some kind of Anonymous thing. I also hope that someone pipes in boos everytime Goddell's face shows up in the Skype or Zoom chat. You can't have an NFL draft without complete hatred of our commissioner 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Arizona apparently *really* wants to drop down from 8 and pick up a 2nd rounder. Miami's got 18 and 39....

I was there live... trust me, we were ALL livid (I think there's video of me literally falling out of my chair for the announcement). After Lageman got drafted one of the NFL flacks announced that Joe Walton would be holding a quick press conference, which led to someone in the peanut gallery screaming "YOU'VE GOT SOME EXPLAINING TO DO!" 1
Ryan Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Huh. He didn't even have that bad of a career. He's no Joe Namath who the NFL thing on Snapchat claimed was the best draft pick in franchise history.

There is a lot of conflating of things here 1) Jets fans ALWAYS hated the team's picks 2) The Jets had A LOT of first round picks that were busts 3) Dolfan is a Dolphins fan so he will think everything about the Jets is up for mockery. A lot of people 1 = 2 That because the Jets fans hated the pick it was because it was a bust. Lageman get a bad rapt because of this infuriating video ESPN made that one year for the draft and it shows you how shitty ESPN is. I mean they fucking included Freeman McNeil as a draft blunder. Arguably the greatest Jets RB and they fucking included him. But Lageman is on that video too and a lot of people then equated that with him being shit. I am trying to remember but I think - THINK - at the time, Jets fans wanted Andre Rison. But to sum up - Pete is an idiot 1
Dolfan in NYC Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Oh ffs. Rapaport is saying "sources" are having Miami move up to 3.... To draft a Tackle. Hate growing. Must draft soon. 1
