Per Jay Glazer - the Cowboys have signed Aldon Smith

Which means he has gotten reinstated by the NFL.

Glazer's report says that Smith is "clean and sober"

Goodell and co. apparently told their Chief Medical Officer to shut the hell up when he tried to act like their may not be an NFL season.

Honestly, I think at this point most of us desperate for a return to normalcy are looking at the start of the NFL season as the best bellweather that things are turning around.

Jesus, I don't really expect the 2020 season to take place, but it wouldn't be the worst thing to let people have a little hope.  It's impossible to make a decision now anyway since we don't know what testing and conditions will look like by late summer.

Bobby Mitchell former Hall of Famer for the Redskins died yesterday.  Not sure of what but I don't think it was virus related.   While he was a very good player for the Browns and Redskins and maybe a Hall of Famer on his ability alone; he is really one of the more underrated athletes in how he helped break color lines in sports.  He was the first black player for the Skins who at the time was not only segregated but proud as fuck of being it.    He worked with all of the people that people associate it the civil rights in sports movement like Jim Brown and Ali and Alcindor and others

If everything has returned to normal and camps are happening on time (or I guess if camps happening at all) - Hard Knocks will feature both the Rams and Chargers as the NFL wants to promote football in LA with both teams preparing to move into their new stadium

Yes by people with eyes

I mean it was the most obvious fake Twitter account and yet people ran with it.

Here is the best part. Everyone is looking at OH MY GOD! BOB STRUCK AGAIN!!!

Meanwhile

Todd Gurley and Clay Matthews have claimed that the Rams are behind on paying them their checks.  That team seems to be very poorly run.

This is football specific so I am posting it here instead of media

Per the NY Post (so take that for what it is worth) - Drew Brees has agreed to a deal with NBC Sports that will begin when he retire

They reportedly want him to replace Cris Collinsworth but that isn't official yet
