Okay, we've skated around this issue a time or two without really digging in and looking at what makes Manny a totally unique specimen. Yes. he's a holy terror with the bat, in fact he's such a good hitter that it almost makes up for his horrendous performance in all aspects of the game not directly related to hitting. Let's see, we have a remarkable total of just over 2000 runs created sadly balanced by a whopping 1800 strikeouts, good enough for 20th place all-time. We should also note that Manny managed to rack up a rather impressive total of 15 seasons in the top ten % as a corner outfielder. To say that Manny had a grotesquely unbalanced career would be most accurate.
