Thanks to Nate Diaz playing 3D chess, it looks like UFC 244 has staved off the chaos for now. Honestly on paper, this is a great looking main UFC card.

The ESPN2 portion is pretty good too. All four fights feature someone the UFC is putting stock into and specifically with Shahbazyan and Mr. Wrestling II, A LOT of stock.

Yeah, the prelims look amazing too with Walker, both Burgos and Mr. Finland, and Shahbazyan all having a tonne of upside. What a stacked card. Till needs a helluva middleweight debut after his stock dropped pretty hard with those two losses. Gastellum seems to be in a really good place right now at 185.

lol @ a #1 ranked fighter being on the early prelims. God damn, even Lyman Good is tucked away on the early prelims. Hell yeah, this show is going to ruuuuuule.

Arce vs. Dawodu is a dope opener FWIW. Both guys are coming off head kick stoppage wins. That's pretty rare.

Gregor vs. Lee is such wonderful matchmaking. I am very interested to see if the smaller Gillespie can handle a laaarge lightweight. Sherdog dummies seem to think he'd get manhandled by the champ, and while they may be right, Kevin Lee is probably the best wrestler in the division that isn't Gillespie or Khabib. However, this could easily be one of those fights where the wrestling prowess of each guy nullifies the other's and it's a stand-up fight. Lee's got a significant reach advantage and likely a power advantage too. Fascinating even if it could be a bit of a staring contest at times.

Robert Kraft along with Donald Trump and his sons Don Jr. and Eric are expected to attend UFC 244.

I wonder how Colby Covington feels that he was only good enough for the sons to attend his fight but the president decided to go see Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal. That has to sting his ego a bit.

Guessing it's the reveal of the BMF Belt.

It looks like it has to do with the UFC doing an event in conjunction with Dwayne Johnson and Seven Bucks doing Athleticon (basically the fitness version of ComicCon) next October in Atlanta. It's running Friday through Sunday. So the UFC likely would be running that Saturday (10/10/2020) if that were the case.
