Wednesday is going to be interesting as it is supposed to rain all day along the East Coast so you are potentially looking at both games getting washed out.

(I am working under the assumption the Nats wont sweep - that could be quite foolish of me)

The entire playoffs

Encarnacion's bat being MIA isn't helping either. At least he can't kill us with bad defense.

Boone is definitely channeling his inner Torre with his baffling lineup

At some point you have to realize Gardner and Encarnacion aren't hitting and batting them 3rd and 4th is absurd.

Especially when Torres is hotter than hot

Yeah I think Gerrit Cole and Justin Verlander have had a little to do with them not hitting.

Sanchez and Encarnacion didn't hit in the Minnesota series either. Houston's bullpen silenced the Yankees, not Verlander. They had men on base against Cole and couldn't get it done. He did give up four hits and five walks.

Okay i have seen this scenario before and I don't like it.  The Nationals have seen this before in 2012.  Against the damn Cardinals.   and we thought the bullpen was great in 2012 unlike now

Had in the bag the whole time ?

With the Nats/Expos making the WS (because now it is convenient to acknowledge the franchise's past) - the Seattle Mariners are now the only franchise to not make a World Series
