Burgundy LaRue
The time has come. The motley jester Irsay will likely feel the Ides of Peyton. Reap what thou sow, and weep.

The Erotic Terrorist
This has been a really rough day today. Besides all the big injuries mentioned in this thread already, on the NFL's own site they mentioned that Brian Cushing believes he broke his leg and tore his LCL against the Chiefs. I feel bad for him after the bad knee injury he suffered last year. Meanwhile, given that a few QB's may be out for a long while after what happened this afternoon, I already have seen you know who get mentioned as someone one of those teams could sign. The Worldwide Leader in Sports is already drooling at the thought of being able to talk about him nonstop again, and the thought of that makes me sigh loudly. LooseCannon
NE lost because of penalty no one knew existed. Incredible. I was on a plane for most of the game, but I knew the penalty existed, mainly because I had to explain to some people what it was and why it was a new penalty for this season. This is a new rule that was enacted specifically because of player initiative. If you want to blame someone, blame Will Montgomery, the Washington lineman who was the driving force behind the new rule.
pipGofern
La Canfora is reporting that the Rams are preparing for Bradford to be ruled out for the yearRams really made a collossal mistake passing on RG3. After last year where we had one QB taken in the first round and two in the first two, I have to think they'll be a good half dozen taken this year. Depending on what guys like Freeman and Gleenon do from here on out, there's gotta be like 10-12 teams who aren't happy with their QB situation. Death From Above
The more I watch the Broncos play the more I'm convinced they actually only have 6-10 passing plays. The rest is all just receivers understaning Peyton's audible choices he makes at the line. That's part of what makes their offense brilliant in a way. It's relatively simple, yet you need THAT GUY to execute it.

Not really - I mean they already had a large chunk of money invested in Bradford that they weren't going to be able to dump on anyone else if they took RG3 RG3 clearly has a shaky injury history. AND the deal is going to yield them 2 Top 10 picks this year. That is no way a "colossal mistake"
RIPPA
HA! I love that the refs didn't call helmet to helmet on Vinateri... clearly because they were in shock
FireThunder
I think Holliday would like to forget both of those last returns, a fumble and then gets trucked by the kicker.

It's relatively simple, yet you need THAT GUY to execute it. The Colts' offense was the same way for all those years. As long as the receivers are in correct position and the O-line does its job, Peyton will read the blitzes and audible out of them. It's a blessing and a curse. To have a QB whose mind operates like a computerized chess board is wonderful. But if he gets injured--POOF!--your season is over. No one else can handle that workload. And a team can become too dependent on one guy in that scenario.

elizium
Every thing about the pass to Decker at the goal line looked like a catch to me. Modern NFL is weird.
Death From Above
We're supposed to ignore that the moment the ball touched the pylon the play is dead because NO MEGATRON NO or something. Like I said earlier, the NFL rulebook has gone full blown retard.
Burgundy LaRue
I can smell the tequila on Jim Irsay's breath all the way up here. He's going to be insufferable if this holds. Rare is the day that I cheer against my favorite team and it's not the acutal team, but Irsay irks my soul. Dude was born at home plate and thinks he hit a grand slam.
