HIAC is No DQ or Count-Out so for Rollins to win, he'd have to pin The Fiend or make him submit and that would be the worst thing for the gimmick right now.

They've sorta painted themselves into a corner by booking this title match under that kind of stipulation.  There's no way to book a title retention and protect the Fiend at the same time.  Seth has to lose in order to keep the Fiend gimmick going strong..

Do we think Bryan is turning?  I think he might be but it would kinda be a little nonsensical at this point

I hope not. I'd actually like them to stick with Rowan and Harper on their own, maybe even have them go after both tag and singles titles.

I like Harper and Rowan getting their first names back.

Did they ever lose them?

The Rollins/Fiend match being turned into a triple threat (with Braun) could be a dead giveaway that Brock is winning the title (opening night on Fox) and they don't want to give away Brock/The Fiend at Survivor Series.  Shit, they'll probably even recycle the non-finish from last year's main event. Ref bump. The Fiend incapacitates both Rollins and Braun with the mandible claw. Lights go out. When they come back on, no sign of the Fiend. Both men are still out. No contest. Bray then gives some preposterous reasoning about taking the title from Rollins on his own terms (causing Rollins to soil himself for another month) or some other gobbledygook.

Hopefully the hard brand split means the end of the Survivor Series brand vs brand shit, because it's been awful ever since they went to that.

Except the one where he squashes Rollins inside of 5 minutes and wins the title.

It's equally terrible. Then you either:

-overexpose the character and make it less and less special

-keep him rare but then you're again in a situation where the Universe title is not regularly on Raw

Both are just plain stupid.

I disagree with this.  The Fiend can totally squash Rollins or whomever, then Bray can be on TV with Firefly Funhouse weekly.  The Fiend can then wrestle in dark matches and at ppvs.  Slowly build up some hench humans for him to use to wrestle weekly like the old Ministy.

Tantamount to passing from the 1 yard line when you've got 3 time outs, one minute left, and a dominant running game, and we've all seen how that cutesy bullshit repeatedly backfires.  Sometimes the obvious is obvious because it's the only thing that's logical

Seth Rollins beating the Fiend would make Bray Wyatt losing to John Cena at the WM in New Orleans seem like a great and logical booking decision.  Only a moron would think that Rollins winning is a good idea.

by the way watching Bray in his Firefly gimmick promoting Hell in the Cell in the weird world and he is very good.

Ron Howard Narrator Voice: Seth Rollins did go on to beat the Fiend.
