Casey
Watching Willie Nelson on those XWF videos with Jim Duggan is really uncomfortable.

Was this while he was still paying off the IRS? IN FACT is Willie Nelson's appearance at WM what prompted IRS to show up in the WWF?

MoeCristyV.1.6
I will always remember Mr. T for his Match at Starrcade 1994, with his pyjamas on and getting shit on by Kevin Sullivan with the Bonus idiocy of Dave Sullivan losing his Santa hat and his pants... My pick goes to Clara Peller as "guest timekeeper". She was only there to yell "WHERE'S THE BEEF" and she screamed it into a dead mic. 1

The same WrestleMania with two burger chain characters. Vince was like 40 back then and still had his finger on the pulse of pop culture. I can't imagine if he was 40 today and having to watch Tik Tok videos and scan Instahoe pages looking for what passes for a celebrity in 2019. "Bootycutie69 is here and she's living her best life at WrestleMania!" I feel like the Divas era was about 15 years too early. Some of these women would have been good recruits when looking the part was a bigger factor than actual wrestling ability.
LP Steve
Out of the blue this morning, John Allen on WFMU played a track by Zoogz Rift. Talk about a blast from the RSPW past.

That and the pic thread at times go way beyond the point of "Settle down" and firmly into "I should just view this stuff on my phone so my boss doesn't fire me" territory.

Peck
Do you guys ever look at your day-to-day illnesses like a wrestling program/angle? For example, I've been dealing with bronchitis the past two weeks. The initial onset is kinda like when the monster heel Pearl Harbor's the babyface from behind. The first week is just a complete beatdown. You're Ricky Morton. Finally you decide to go to the doctor who does the arm-check three times to make sure you're not dead and then gives you medicine for the hot tag/babyface comeback. The next few days you're fighting back but still struggling to knock the hoss down off his feet until you finally emerge victorious and the disease gets its comeuppance which everyone wants to see. These drugs are good. 4

ChesterCopperpot
So CM Punk then ........... If C.M. Punk is to come back to pro wrestling, it looks like it will be here. He was very political in his speech at the last Starrcast, talking about how he’s grown up, doesn’t have animosity toward WWE and said that if they were to call he would listen. We’d already reported that Punk’s rep had gone to FOX to try and push him to be a co-host of the FS 1 talk show, but WWE wasn’t interested in him for that, even though he’d probably be good at it. Really, him doing that show would only make sense if he’s going to come back to wrestle, because the minute he’s on a WWE broadcast, the people will want him to wrestle again. So hiring him to host the show would immediately make the show about him rather than the news. It’s basically the feeling that even though WWE went after him hard with the lawsuit that cost him a ton of money, like seven figures, that WWE is the place he feels he can make the most money. Given he’s about to turn 41 next month, and main eventers are making for the most part for more now than they were during Punk’s heyday, and the age makes the clock tick about how long your window to make that money is, you can see the mentality. Punk did make a ton of money as a babyface in his last few years because his T-shirts were huge and did well as champion as a heel although he did not once he made a lot less money because when he turned his merch sales went way down. Plus, he’s seen more guys on the roster who are being allowed to work fewer dates. The impression from WWE is that they believe he wants back in but right now it’s nothing they are counting on doing. He did get an opening offer from AEW sometime back but then made himself scarce and was negative to them in that Marc Raimondi interview and as best we can tell, there has been no contact since.
