They put so much less effort into making that look like a doctor's office than they put into making it look like they were actually electro-shocking George Steele in "Dr. Sigmund's" office.

How now, brown cow?

Also, Kairi’s timing was unfortunately off in that tag match.

Wanted Sonya & Mandy to win but love to see Alexa a champ again. Still sad for the IIconics reign to end with them pinned in 2 minutes.

Rey/Andrade was all sorts of awesome, shame that's presumably not happening on SummerSlam now. I think the same thing happened last time & they got nixed from a PPV.

Also liked the idea of Joe/Roman as a team after the hit and run.

That Seth promo was awful. Like these haven't been typical heel beatdowns from Brock and coming moments after both Cole & Corey declare there's no way Seth could compete at Summerslam. I can usually enjoy Seth matches, but his worst are ridiculously overcoming major injuries to still win in the end so I'm hoping he's not just gonna beat Brock after all that, but probably will.

I'll explain my position real quick.  My issue with the women's tag title scene right now is that it's being played for laughs. They already have the 24/7 championship that is a "joke title" and that's fine I think they've done a good job with that.

In my view the women's titles,  whoever is holding them,  there should be more emphasis put on having good matches.  We didn't get that with The IIconics title reign and we aren't going to get that with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross as wacky best friends with a sprinkle of "Alexa is USING her.."  It's not compelling.

The best match to date is still the Elimination Chamber match where it came down to Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville against Sasha Banks and Bayley.  They could have easily had some competitive matches that involved those teams along with the Kabuki Warriors and I believe they could have had something there...

Who gives a flying boysenberry fuck about "Good matches?" The WWE has been having "good matches" for the last decade pretty well nonstop, and business is way down. Alexa and Nikki are an interesting pairing and Bayley is far better suited as the workhorse on Smackdown. Sorry Sasha doesn't care enough about you or the rest of her fans to come back to work, but BlissCross has the potential to be FAR more entertaining than Sasha's ever been in her life...

I care about matches and so do a lot of people.  The in-ring is not the problem.  The problem is in creative in part because they like to push acts that are at the level of a low tier indy fed. Sorry that the Alexa Bliss "funny" segments are assisting in the ratings collapse.  Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks feud was doing over 3 million viewers. I guess a lot of folks agreed with me.

Also,  I was talking about the Kabuki Warriors and Mandy/Sonya as potential teams that can have some good matches.  You skipped over that and went to Sasha, I clearly said "whoever is holding the titles" they should put more emphasis on the in-ring product.

The IIconics were being played as undeserving champs hiding from any real challengers. They were goofs who probably shouldn't have had anything more than a 1 month long reign, but the division itself wasn't necessarily played for laughs. Alexa and Nikki's team aren't being played for laughs. There is an element of whether or not Alexa is just using Nikki to stay on top like she has others, but that is more decent story telling given Alexa's history opposed to something being played for laughs.

Good matches would be nice, but solid, consistent storytelling in the division more necessary than good matches. This is especially true when they don't really have much in the way of good teams in general since most of women in WWE are used to being singles stars. There isn't a team on the main roster or even running in NXT/NXT UK who you could call actively good.

Man..  I don't know,   from April 7th to tonight The IIconics had what two title defenses?   In 4 months?!  All they did was backstage segments that mostly didn't air on television and anytime they did wrestle it wasn't good. Some of that is on them and some of that is creative. The backstage segments I would say were played for laughs.

This Alexa/Nikki team has been played for laughs,  Alexa and her coffee bits and having Nikki dig deep into her accent,  the whole thing.  Yes, I will agree that they had something that was kinda interesting at first when Nikki was still a tweener/face character but now they are just two heels doing comedy.

Your last line I mean Asuka and Kairi are two of the best women's wrestlers in the entire company,  maybe the two best.

I'm still stunned that anybody thought there was enough depth to justify women's tag titles. They employ 700+ dudes and can't get that scene right. Why should anybody care about these straps?

If they're going to insist on having them, might as well go with the interesting duos. And those are the current and former champs.

Maybe Asuka and Kairi Saine will actually be allowed to regularly have meaningful matches on TV again once the XFL starts and Vince is focused on the pivotal Sunday Night matchup between the San Francisco Porno Blackmailers and Oakland Methbikers. For now, they'll just have to stay off TV most weeks while there's plenty of room for the shitty ass Moment of Bliss segment and even more cute coffee gags.

Doesn't change that they aren't used to teaming with each other at all. The first time they ever worked together was their debut as a team. They have't had a good match together yet or shown themselves to have the chemistry Kairi had with Io. I'm not commenting on them as wrestlers in general, just as a team that they are unproven.

I said the division wasn't played for laughs, not the IIconics. My point with them was more that their gimmick was fine. It just should have been a short lived reign.

They have a had a few bits of comedy. Most of their stuff has been about Nikki believing in their friendship and people trying to convince her otherwise.

They have enough women on the roster to justify tag titles. They just can't book for shit.

That IIconics’ tantrum was perfect. The tag title match was ok in parts. Was rooting for either Mandy/Sonya or Kairi/Asuka. But storyline wise, I’m fine with Alexa/Nikki. Especially cool to see Nikki win her first championship.

The IIconics is like having a tag team of Mike Sharpe & Larry Zybisco. They're constant chattering during a match is all I can ever think about. Mike Sharpe & Larry Legend.

Are you implying that Peyton Royce is Australia's Greatest Athlete???

Now I want to see a WAR 6-man special of Sharpe, Zybisco, and Yano (who is the biggest talker I've ever seen in-ring , he's always saying something)

I am confused

Was there any explanation as to why Trish was technically teaming with Nattie?

Or is it just young = cool face and veteran = heel.

Or or - are we just back to Canadians are evil?

(This is all based on the fact that Charlotte and Trish have clearly defined roles in that match)
