I did some average match length stats, but basically everyone is around 14 minutes +/- 3 minutes with Taiyo Kea, Kaz Hayashi, Suwama, Keiji Muto, Satoshi Kojima, Manabu Soya, Minoru Suzuki, Toshiaki Kawada on the longer end of the scale and Nobukazu Hirai, Ryuji Hijikatam, Nobutaka Araya, MAZADA, Masayuki Kono, Minoru and Joe Doering on the shorter end.

As always, if you spot any name dups, please let me know so I can update the records. (Thanks Eivion!!)

AHII and SUGI are the same person. I think Voodoo Mask was several people. Kikutas Jack, Kikitaro, Ebessan, Ebetosan, Ebetaro, Kikubonotaro, Kiku Angle, Killer Kiku, Kikubonotaro, Kikucaras, Kikuberg, Kiku-kiku-kiku, & Teriyaki Taro are all the same person. Raijin and SUSHI are the same person

"Main Event" is always a tricky term because it implies an understanding of the landscape of a company (which feuds were the attractions; who was being pushed; which belts meant the most, etc). Since I'm not too familiar with AJPW, I'm going to offer a different statistic which may be similar enough to get to the heart of the question - records for wrestlers who were last on the card.

Wrestler(s) on the last match on the card - All Japan Pro Wrestling 2000-2013

As for attendance draws, it's a screwy metric. You've got a few big shows that really distort things, and the rest of the time after AJPW really began it's decline, it's almost more location driven than person driven as for what the attendance is.

But for the sake of investigation, I did look at wrestlers who had 5+ "main events" (last match on the card) in a given year among at least four different years. That analysis provided this list:

Genichiro Tenryu: 3,146 avg attendance on shows = 5 years (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004)

Toshiaki Kawada: 2,776 avg attendance on shows = 7 years (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007)

Takao Omori: 2,490 avg attendance on shows = 4 years (2000, 2011, 2012, 2013)

Keiji Muto: 2,487 avg attendance on shows = 12 years (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012)

George Hines: 2,080 avg attendance on shows = 4 years (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003)

Kensuke Sasaki: 2,070 avg attendance on shows = 5 years (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008)

Your stat on Suzuki vs. Suwama is incorrect. Suwama won his second Triple Crown title off of Suzuki .

Good catch. It appears that I missed the Summer Impact 2010 tour in my results: http://www.purolove.com/ajpw/results/10summerimpact.phpI will need to comb back through the results to see what other shows I inadvertently left off.

I went through all of my results, and that was the one tour I was missing it turned out.

villanowanalaya (on F4W) pointed out some additional name corrections:

- Takuya Sugi/AHII/Sugi/Rabbit Boy/Super Milo
- Extreme Blade/Elix Skipper
- Fuego/Misterio Red/Spriggan/Amazing Red
- "Ray High Mountain"/Yoshihiro Takayama.
- HUB/Kaijin Habu Otoko
- "KAGEKI" is an indy promotion, not part of the names!
