In other news, HuffPo published some of Tyrus' texts to his former Fox co-host. Given the values upheld by the network, I'm not sure if this helps or hinders his prospect of continued employment.

Who would have guessed it.

This is such a "careful what you wish for" thing. They push so hard for the company to be seen as legitimate and mainstream, yet they'll bristle any time they brush up against something like this.

Tasty, tasty popcorn to be enjoyed in the future.

Lol:

Did the issue of health insurance and their "independent contractor" status come up?

I was thinking her reaction was more closer to telling a date you like wrestling.

True story: I was once on a date where the girl casually mentioned that she had tickets to Raw the next night, and she said that she didn't like wrestling, but a girl she works with got them because she was really into "these Nazis in goat masks"

The Wyatts weren't Nazis, they were nihilists. Fucking nihilists. Say what you will about the National Socialists, but at least they had an ethos!

She must have confused them with the Norse enthusiasts.

I want know if people think Brock vs Cena at Extreme Rules '12 holds up as well as it did then, I remember people here were saying it may have been one of the best PPV matches in WWE ever. I was really mad that Brock didn't go over on his first match back especially since he went on to end 'Takers streak. You look at the way he's been booked the past few years especially, its even more puzzling that he lost that match. I  know at that point Cena was by far the most protected guy but I  still find it crazy he went over.

I remember hearing that Vince was afraid Brock wasn't going to stick around, so he didn't want him going over his top guy.

But it turned out to be totally ass backwards booking. The Summerslam '14 ass kicking should've happened at Extreme Rules, with Cena getting his win back later on.

I watched John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar from Extreme Rules 2012 back not long ago and it still holds up as one of the wildest and best WWE matches ever, pro wrestling blended with MMA. Cena took a right beating from Lesnar. As you note, Cena going over surprised people and not in a good way.

It will be on my matches of the decade list  (If I had a matches of the decade list).   I love everything about it..  Yes,  I was in the camp thinking it was crazy that Cena ended up going over but after watching it back a couple times,  Brock got in most of the offense and he basically slipped on a banana peel which turned the tide and allowed Cena to make his comeback.  So, I was okay with that.  The next time they fought Brock was all business and kicked Cena's ass up and down.  If you notice,  Brock has really only ever lost since his return under circumstances where he either made a costly mistake or took an opponent lightly like with the quick Goldberg shocker.  But Brock always ends up redeeming himself.  He got his wins back over Cena,  Triple H,  Goldberg and will probably beat Seth too.

Yes,  sir.  I don't know if I could make a whole list,  I'd certainly have to narrow it down to just WWE because if we are including stuff like New Japan then I'm going to have to put Okada vs. Shibata and Ibushi vs. Tanahashi and Ospreay vs. Shingo and it will just get crazy..      But maybe someone will run a tournament in 2020 and we can all vote on WWE matches of the decade I think that would be entertaining.

Shit,  you know what I need to go back and watch again is the first Shield vs. Wyatts encounter.  The crowd reaction before the match begins was something so organic.. that is so rare to come by these days.  WWE spends all this time manufacturing "moments" well..  that was a real legitimate moment of the decade and somehow WWE managed to ruin one of the stables and run off 1/3 of the other..

Cheers for your post. WWE and NJPW list would be a fucking monster.

My top five NJPW matches of the decade:

1. Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega, Dominion 2018.

2. Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Wrestle Kingdom 10.

3. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Minoru Suzuki. King of Pro-Wrestling 2012.

4. Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega. Wrestle Kingdom 11.

5. Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi. King of Pro-Wrestling 2013.

Honorable mentions to Okada/Shibata Wrestling Dontaku 2017, Tanahashi/Ibushi G1 Climax 28 and Okada/Naito 40th Anniversary Show.

Like your tournament suggestion.

Definitely do. In my WWE MOTD 2010-2019 list, I only have one match ahead of the Shield vs. Wyatt Family from Elimination Chamber 2014.
