United looked incredible today. Pogba's performance was really good. 2 assists, but that first one was particularly fantastic. Perfectly placed ball and a fantastic first touch and finish from Rashford. Also, that Daniel James celebration was the best.

Betis just stepped up the entire player reveals. Incredible video of them revealing they signed Borja Iglesias from Espanyol on a 5 year deal. Panda is one of the best strikers in Spain and is another massive signing for Betis along with the previous signing of Nabil Fekir.

In the meantime cross city rivals Sevilla let Wissam Ben Yedder go to Monaco. Ben Yedder was one of the more consistent goal scorers for the club so I'm not sure about that move.

And they signed Rony Lopes from Monaco. Not sure how good he is as I've only seen him a handful amount of times, but Monchi usually delivers for Sevilla in transfer windows so we'll see how this goes.

St. Louis will be announced next week as the 28th franchise of MLS.    They will (probably) adopt the USL's St. Louis FC identity and should begin play in '22.

MLS wants to add two more teams to get to 30.   Las Vegas and Sacramento seem to be the frontrunners.

A god damn pitch invader tripped and kicked Adrian's ankle after the match as he was chased by security. Now Adrian is an injury doubt for tomorrow's match at Southampton. Cool. Awesome. Yeah.

1764? Is that when the city was founded? Because I'm pretty sure you're supposed to put the year the team was founded on the badge, not the city. Stoke City's says 1863*, not "Probably some time around the second century we think".

* nb: They're lying. It's 99% certain that whatever football was being played there that long ago has no actual continuity with the current side. The earliest historical records of what evolved into the current championship team are from the 1880s.

Yes, that's when St. Louis was founded.   It wasn't incorporated until about 75 years later.   And I'm guessing they picked 1764 because it looks better than 2004.

Well, it does look better, yes. But it does unfortunately play into the hands of anyone who wants to play the 'Americans don't understand Football' card. And that's quite a fun card to play, Y'know?

Anyway, Sol Campbell has left his job at Macclesfield Town due to a dispute over wages. Specifically that they weren't paying him any. Hopefully he doesn't have to wait too long for another chance, he did a great job in the time he had.

And this season, the UK TV partner for La Liga will be... ITV. Splashing that Love Island advertising revenue, it seems.

Holy cow -- what a finish to Athletic Club and Barcelona. Athletic Club legend Aduriz is retiring at the end of the season and this is his final league game against Barcelona at San Mames. He gets subbed in with 5 minutes to go and in the 89th minute he scores a wild overhead kick game winner. Scenes. I legit got goosebumps watching it.

Barcelona played without Messi as he was injured and Valverde didn't want to take any risks and Arthur and Vidal couldn't play either as they are also injured. Suárez also had to get subbed off in the first half as he was struggling with pains in his knee. Griezmann struggled as he is still getting used to Barcelona's playing style. Under Simeone he was more of a CF with free roam so he would help defensively. Today he struggled reading the game and kept running to Jordi Alba and Suárez spaces and he also struggled getting any passes to him.

Speaking of Barcelona -- Coutinho is on his way to Bayern on loan with an option to buy which most certainly puts an end to the rumors of a potential Neymar return as Coutinho was the player Barcelona was trying to swap along with euros to PSG for Neymar.

Madrid and Arsenal confirm the loan signing of Dani Ceballos. Fantastic pick up for Arsenal. Dani's progression has been halted due to a lack of minutes at Madrid, but he's a fantastic player that will fit in like a glove under Emery.

Put on a marvelous performance today. Some great passes and skills. Hope he can continue to put on quality performances.
