The Hunter helicopter is the reward for all Gold medals in GTA: SA.    Basically it makes Vigilante a fucking breeze and a half.   It's also super fast and can take down a fighter jet with ease.

There's basically no better air vehicle in the game.

Plus, swag.  (And I think it might be an Achievement, if you're a hunter for those.)

You're right about the Helicopter. Vigilante Level 19 when I accidentally quit the mission trying to level it to the ground (all the criminals were on a bridge between two valleys. The cars were destroyed but some of them had ran away before the blasts). Circle Airstrip and Circle Airstrip and Land were giving me fits, but then CJ's Flight Skill levelled up and they went smoothly 100%. Everything else was a breeze.

I beat GTA V’s story mode again the other day and used the Lester Assassination tips in order to make all of Michael, Trevor, and Franklin billionaires. Then bought all the properties and finished off all the Strangers and Freaks.

I’m debating trying to go through all the Heists and what not since I never completed them all, but getting a crew of 4 together is kinda hard in 2019.

San Andreas Replay Update: I'm into the fourth quarter. Sweet is out of jail and I'm taking territories back in LS. Mad Dogg's Mansion is ours, and I've also done the Casino Heist finale. The Airstrip is well stocked with the Hydra VTOL fighter jet, Cargobob, Hunter Attack Helicopter, Biplane and the Jetpack. BUT if I want the Platinum, I need to basically take over the whole city (to get max respect; You only need 30 territories for the 'Claim Territories' trophy). So there's quite a bit still to do. 4000 kills and a Six star wanted level, that's doable. The Traithlon, that's just wear your thumb out for ten minutes, and wear your X button down to a nub in the process. Doing either the BMX or NRG challenges, that's going to be annoying. I did do both on PS2, but I was a different person then.

I played and loved every single "3D era" (non top-down) GTA game, but I feel like there's no way I could go back and play Vice City, for example.  I've been spoiled by stuff like autosaves and the newer games' in-mission checkpoints and ability to immediately replay failed missions.  This seems like such a slog today:

  1. Fail tough mission, usually at the very end
  2. Re-load my last save
  3. Drive across the city to the mission's checkpoint (no GPS, no trip skip)
  4. Replay the mission and hope to god I don't fail again
  5. Drive back to my save point and hope I don't die along the way
  6. Save

Shit, I remember one time limping back to the hotel on Ocean Drive with 1 health point left, walking off curbs as slowly and carefully as possible.

As I get older and have less and less time for video games, I really appreciate modern games' concessions to more casual players.

All you need to do now is finish the stunt jumps, under the bridge challenges, and knife flights and you can have a 100% Completion like me!

Or do all of that on two systems, and have 200% completion like me!

I think it might be impossible to Platinum GTA5 now, because one of the online trophies is for attacking multiple armoured cars. Which stopped spawning in GTAOnline more than four years ago.

If I platinum San Andreas to go along with both my GTA5 plats, do I become King of Los Santos?

Right, finished San Andreas story mode, and also taken over every gang territory in Los Santos. All I need for the Platinum now is to do the BMX challenge (or the NRG one, but BMX is the one I'll do), Get Arrested 50 times (which is easy, because get arrested once and you respawn at the police station. Steal a police car and don't drive away and you'll get arrested again. Repeat), and Export All 3 Car lists. So a little bit of a grind, but nothing challenging.

I was cursing the final mission, because having fought my way through the crack warehouse to get to Big Smoke, killed Big Smoke, fought my way out of the burning building (very easy when you're already fireproof), then Sweet jumped on the back of the firetruck and I had to chase it in a boxy muscle car. Got stuck on a fence and failed the mission. Had to drive back to the mission start zone, thinking I'm going to have to do the whole thing again, and it jumps straight to Sweet jumping on the Firetruck again. So there was a mission checkpoint after all.

And there's the GTA San Andreas Platinum trophy. Brilliantly, I've only got 63.64% Completion of the actual game. Only did one Zero mission, where you're on the roof manning the gun emplacement. Collected 3 Horseshoes, Two Oysters and done like 8 Graffitis. My old PS2 save has 90%+ completion, but there weren't any trophies in the PS2 era.

Good news, I leveled up a ton getting all the cards so I could unlock the free Collector job on RDO.  The bad, I missed one somewhere and now have to go back through the entire list to see which one I missed.

I'm annoyed.  my playing cards are glitched and 1 won't spawn.  I've been through the list 5 times, I'm still at 53/54, and I got 9 days left to get that last one so I can unlock Collector in RDO.  Apparently there isn't a fix.

I only got 1 of the three roles free since I had done the twitch signup.

I would definitely recommend having all 3 roles active, as you can multi task while doing other missions.

But I had a ton of gold when the update hit (thanks to my now 136 day daily challenge streak).

It'd be nice if they'd give us a heads up on how much that new property is gonna cost so those of us poor folk can start grinding the money.  Also, will that Master Control Terminal just be a copy of the Nightclub computer, a mission launcher like the the Terrorbyte, or do we finally not have to bounce around the map to do all our businesses jobs?
