I could actually envision someone showing Vince a video of the penis suplex and Vince thinking that it was the funniest thing ever while also being upset that he never came up with a grapefruits suplex. Didn't Joey turn down a WWE deal a while ago because he was making more between indies and being sponsored by youporn?

Zakk_Sabbath
Whatever happened to those guys? I feel like I remember one of them wrestling for the NWA title before Billy Corgan bought it, but whichever guy it was had a ton of new tattoos and lost a bunch of weight. I think it was the guy who was the older of the two that was rumored to be dating Pat Patterson for a while, but not 100% sure. Not a knock on the guys, because who knows how'd they be now with more experience, but man if you think Raw is bad now, you've obviously forgotten about the La Resistance vs Cade/Murdoch "classics' every damn week. You know shits rough when we're all clamoring for a Cryme Tyme push.

Yes - Dave acknowledged that when he was talking about this on the radio show Basically the "report" was that the WWE and Joey Ryan had talked. Dave said he assumed the WWE made Ryan some sort of offer (though it might not be for much). And it wasn't as if Dave was saying "They made an offer that he is accepting". Just that if he had to guess "an offer was made". (Dave also guessed it would be for NXT, not the main roster) Basically - and as we have talked about here - the WWE is willing to sign guys just to keep them away from AEW even if they aren't planning on using them (Dave must have used the phrase "ice them" a half dozen times) This is especially true in Ryan's case since he is the only one on Being The Elite who wasn't signed.

Anyone else remember The Heartthrobs? They were called the Heartbreakers in OVW, but basically everything about their gimmick got stripped away when they got to the main roster because it was a little too close to Shawn Michaels schtick. No that was The Tolands. It honesty feels like we’re going to get another bad period of tag wrestling for RAW. How many teams have they failed to transition to the main roster already? 5? 6? I already feel like The Viking Raiders are almost there. Edited May 1, 2019 by LoneWolf&Subs

AxB
Most likely famous dick wrestler Joey Ryan is going to AEW, what with being on BTE every week and all. But then that blonde girl he used to hang out with is signed to WWE, so maybe he goes with her. If he has both offers on the table, I'm guessing it's one of those "greatest pay off vs least hassle" decisions. But then WWE will last forever, whilst AEW could cease to exist quickly if it all goes tits up. But his current revenue streams are merch and sponsorship, which WWE would take off him and keep some for themselves, whilst All Elite won't interfere with that. There's pros and cons to both. And at his age, doing one and then the other might not be an option either. This is turning into a long winded Marcus Allen CBS Sports post. I'm a little out of the loop so im not sure what that is, from what I hear though Teddy is having a hell of a run in MLW and I've been a big Homicide guy since I saw him wrestle Steve Corino at my first ROH show, so if they have a match I would 100% track it down. Good look Edit: Joey Janela Spring Break, duh. I was thinking it was an indie I'd never heard of or something. twiztor
i always liked the Highlanders. Wish they would've stayed around longer or had a bigger role. i remember the Heart Throbs. they weren't very good and IIRC they got released shortly after a skit on whatever internet show wwe did at the time that had them playing their characters up to 11 and making a bunch of blatant and unfunny gay jokes about the host. i don't really remember except for some stupid shit happened. i don't see Joey Ryan going anywhere but AEW based on BTE alone. Hagan
Everything with the Moxley video is hilarious. "Burnt out dudes planning to retire" don't probably spend thousands of dollars* filming a high end vignette that posts minutes after their contract expires. I bet dude is motivated to go out, make some money and cause a ruckus. *of course, he may not have done it himself and it may be a AEW production but that furthers the point that the WWE-side claiming he was retiring was either willfully lying or let themselves get worked pretty hard. Best thing is how desperate AEW fans are to prove he'll be at Double or Nothing by going full on pro-wrestling Alex Jones and how desperate WWE fans are in the opposite direction trying to prove it was all a work on social media. Raziel
I love people thinking that AEW made a video for a guy under WWE Contract to release right after his contract expires as if Vince wouldn't unleash McDivitt on them were that the case. 1
