Fuck.  Detective Pikachu's RT has fallen to the low 60's.  It is too high on my ballot.

RT wise, I think I placed Long Shot just about right, though.

8th on my RT list. Didn't realize Detective Pikachu had dropped like it has till your post.

I feel good now

I'm glad somebody does.

You'd better hope that the movies under it either have mixed reviews leaning towards the negative side or that they are total shit sandwiches.

John Wick 3 is off the table for list inclusion.

I'm sort of surprised by the amount of buzz I'm seeing for that movie.  It's not a ton, but I was expecting like next to nothing.

Kinda surprised people were not expecting big things from Wick. That’s about as beloved as an action franchise at every level I can remember.

I wasn't expecting 98% (which is what started the conversation)

It is now exactly in line with the other two movies (86% and 89% respectively) which is what I expected

John Wick will open with around $57 million

Pikachu is going be at $94 million at weekend's end and should hit $100 million before next weekend

Long Shot is a strong contender already for last place at pool's end

Fuck, the Detective Pikachu misfire damn near dropped me off the list completely.  I am two spots away from the booby prize.

That puts John Wick 3 about $14-$15 million ahead of opening weekend numbers for John Wick 2.  If the drop rate is similar it should end up around $108-$110 million over 4 weeks, a little under the $117 million I picked for my tiebreaker.  Guess I'll do my part and go and see it tomorrow to bump it another $7.00.

Rocketman is at 88% with 40 reviews after its Cannes premiere.

Accordingly, the reviews for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood should start to trickle in within the next 24 hours.

Now it's at 93 percent with 15 reviews (14 out of 15 fresh). The one rotten is from a non English language critic fwiw.

BTW the Aladdin review embargo lifts tomorrow morning.

Looking back, I'm surprised there's a good chunk of entries without Once Upon a Time in Hollywood on RT lists. I picked it as I like QT and figured his track record would seal the deal. Still haven't seen Death Proof and The Hateful Eight.
