Yes but Vince has never watched any one else's wrestling according to Corny, so the ECW-lite stuff came from Russo and Ed Ferra (who bought a satellite dish before they where common place to watch ECW)

Heyman --> Russo and Ferrara ---> Vince seems plausible.

When Woman was in ECW, WCW would tend to copy their booking pretty quickly after it happened (due to her being married to WCW Bookerman Kevin Sullivan at the time). Once she left ECW and returned to WCW, it stopped happening so quickly.

Which says something about the Bischoff creative era since from the jump, Bischoff wanted little to do with that show.

Similarly WCWSN and WorldWide probably are the shows that have the most consistent quality through out the MNW

It's almost like Bischoff not being involved led to better shows

As much I dislike Russo....I agree witht he take he is far more credible than Bischoff when next to him and I chalk that up solely due to Bischoffs neverending love affair with anything Hogan.

I just had a thought.

What if there were seperate bookers for every section of WCW. Lucha/cruisers, lower-midcard and jobbers, old guys + prestige matches (the Flair Section), US title. Never shall the twain meet. That might've been the only way to make ANYTHING really work is if it was all done independently and there was no crossover.

then nobody would be able to rise in the ranks and "graduate" to the top tiers. likewise, none of the main guys would agree to be "demoted" to the middle class.

if somebody like Benoit or Booker T would have happened to break through, how much would the "main event booker" have resented that? would they revamp their character or have them lose a bunch just to 'put them in their place'?

i don't think it's necessarily a bad idea, but does come with its own set of issues.

I agree, but I wouldn't say "solely," if only because the only thing Bischoff loves more than Hogan is the narrative that he birthed that era of wrestling from a creative perspective all by himself.

Bischoff talks all the time about how over time, the cruisers grew upset about being put in a box away from the main event, to your point.

that's definitely a fair assessment.  While I find Russo his own level of scummy...he seems to, I don't know, own it?  It's weird and hard to describe.  He feels like a genuine shithead and not a stab you in the back shithead lol.  I can't really point a fine point on it.  I'd much rather listen to Bischoff talk about the business/tv/story aspect of wrestling than anything Russo would say, but I believe Russo more.

Dark Side of the Ring Season 6 premieres March 25th. Didn't see anything about specific episodes yet.

Apparently the reason Eddie Gilbert departed from ECW so suddenly (to be replaced by Paul E), was that he was trying to hook up with Tod Gordon's wife, which she didn't appreciate.

SlamWrestling.net says no episodes official yet but that they've "collected clues through various contacts" and believe that the subjects will be:
Superstar Billy Graham
Andrew "Test" Martin
Eddie Gilbert
Daffney
Billy Jack Haynes
Vader
Ludvig Borga
Hell in a Cell

Well wasn't he a Nazi?

Hell in a Cell, I think the only other one focusing on an individual match so far is the Screwjob.

Awww, Daffney. I'm gonna cry so hard.

HOLY SHIT VADER~!
