Robert C 2,110
About damn time. Send Maurice and Haunt back to wherever they came from. Hoping this means I stop getting Ghost Call and Scream of Terror drops.

Then I'd fall off the map and lose 200 million credits. When everyone said "Borderlands 3 is a lot like Borderlands 2," I decided to take a pass on it.

That being said, the map is absolute HELL to navigate quite a bit of the time and I have spent way too long trying to figure out how to get to a mission marker, get too frustrated, and just turn the game off. I'd recommend skipping the game and just go get yourself a Pal's chili burger. Way more productive.

I just watched a bunch of Ratch (think bigass, carnivorous cockroach - it's a pretty realistic portrayal of East Texas) Mary Louing and thought "Stout would hate this shit". Borderlands is weirdly the one FPS that I like (a large part of why I like GTA is that I can't aim for shit). I think there are a bunch of reasons for that - Dying ultimately doesn't matter much in the game - There's some not so subtle aim assist - No PVP - Likable characters The main thing I miss from BL2 was playing as the Mechromancer where you just shot in the general direction of whatever you were trying to hit, and let the ricochets do the work for you But yeah, if you don't like BL2, BL3 ain't gonna be your thing. The game is easier than 2, but the maps are somehow even more confusing. The Killavolt and asteroid ones in particular drove me crazy.

jstout 2,819
I found it crazy that I've car bombed a million cars, but as soon as someone starts doing it to me, I get pissy about it. I should've gotten up high and cut off his crap, but it was really tough - is he coming from the left, right, behind or is he coming from the front, knowing I can't counter him. Gonzo 2,236
Finally made it to Nekrotafeyo and through the first part of it to the ruins. The Troy Calypso fight was. . .underwhelming. Of course, maybe that's because my whole strategy can be summarized as "Jump into Iron Bear, survive until I can jump into Iron Bear again, repeat." It's one of the few major boss fights I've gotten through without dying. Still doing all of the crew challenges in each area before moving on to the next one. Probably a part of why I'm at level 43 and haven't reached the end yet. But I've gotten all the Dead Claptraps, all the Targets of Opportunity, all the Legendary Hunts, all the Typhon Dead Drops, and all the Crimson Radio locations thus far. The only side missions I haven't done are the Dynasty Dash missions because I keep thinking back to that one mission in Borderlands 2 when you had to drive around and deliver things within a certain amount of time and I never did get that damn thing completed. So I've completely ignored them to this point.
RUkered 982
Those timed delivery missions in 2 and 3 are awful. I can't complete them without help. They're as bad to me as those remote control helicopter missions in Vice City.
BrianS81177 3,698
Yeah that Burger Delivery mission can go fuck off. Getting screamed at the entire time by some dude way too obsessed with burgers is not fun.
Gonzo 2,236
Finished the game last night. Man, that last battle was amazingly underwhelming. I don't know if I was just at a way higher level than I was supposed to be (finished at Level 45), but it wasn't even much of a fight. Given that all the stuff that Tyreen dropped and from looting the vault was in the mid-30s level-wise, I'm guessing that I was way overleveled for the end. Have to go back and get one Typhon Dead Drop (in the ruins. . .got all the logs but didn't go back and get the cache) and one Dead Claptrap (in the Pyre of Stars). Then I can spend some time playing around with the Eridian Fabricator and see what kind of arsenal I can build for myself in case I want to try True Vault Hunter Mode or Mayhem Mode. cwoy2j 3,807
Trying to solo Torgue's Circle of Slaughter with Zane. I can get to Round 3 but those goddamn hounds or whatever they are just swarm the shit out of you.
BrianS81177 3,698
For any of you that haven't played it yet, the first DLC "Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot" is absolutely tremendous. Only downside to it is seeing Handsome Jack back (even just in recap videos) shows just how weak Tyreen and Troy are as villains compared to him.
Robert C 2,110
New DLC is good stuff. Glad I got to shoot that one guy that I REALLY wanted to shoot all along.
Gonzo 2,236
Making my way through the DLC now. Got my Moze to Level 50, which I think is the first time I've ever gotten a character of mine to max level in a game like this. Just getting to Trashlantis, which looks like it's going to be interesting. Would be nice if they would give some hints about what the next DLC is.
BrianS81177 3,698
I really hope they make a DLC centered around Krieg learning about Maya's death.
Gonzo 2,236
Finished the DLC. Damn, but do I love this series of games.
Shadow 463
The DLC is what the main game should have been. The quest named The Plan (I think) is one of Borderlands best quests ever. The drop rates for legendaries feels rewarding to the point where it's worth it to farm for the specific annointed item that you want. I hope the rest of the dlc will be of this quality. Robert C 2,110
I'm going through and leveling up some of my lower characters now. Died about 20 times in a row last night trying to deal with the awful jumping puzzle to get the COV radio right outside where Hammerlock is being held. Ran into a fun little bug with movement speed. I was wearing a shield that gave 10% additional speed when the shield is fully charged. I guess the speed boosts must've stacked somehow when I died, because by the end I was running insanely quickly. It made killing Warden ridiculously easy. Unfortunately, it made the jump puzzle progressively harder. I was finally able to fix it by switching shields.
BrianS81177 3,698
They've made the scaling down of the Maliwan Blacksite raid permanent (so it will scale appropriately to how many people are in your party) and supposedly may be making the recent loot drop increases permanent as well. RIPPA 33,858
Buried in that tweet (like 3 links deep) is the plan to raise the Level Cap to 53 starting with the event. Also you will finally have the option to "opt out" of an event (ie: turn off the game wide effects of said event) They also promise that skippable cutscenes will be put in place in the "Feb patch"
