Phil Schneider
For 2013 we chose William Regal vs. Kassius Ohno NXT 3/21 SC Review Here
The Man Known as Dan
I both acknowledge that as a great match while question why that one was the pick over Regal vs. Cesaro. If you haven't watched it, I suggest it strongly.
Sublime
I'd nominate Ishii vs Shibata from the G1 Day 4 to challenge. I watched this about a month ago and it is ten minutes of vicious hard hitting pro wrestling and it's a blast. It's probably what any one familiar with the two of them would expect. They go hard from the opening bell and lay into each other if you like your wrestling stiff you'll be about it. One problem some might have is that it does have Shibata head butt spot which depending on you may in hindsight be cringeworthy I know it took me out of the match for a second knowing what the future would hold. EricR
The brain trauma match is one of our highest rated NJPW matches, so mashed banana brains don't bother us.
Curt McGirt
Considering how good Regal/Cesaro is, it would be a baller first challenge.
NintendoLogic
I will go to my grave maintaining that Nakamura vs. Ibushi from the 2013 G1 is better than their Wrestle Kingdom match.
The Natural
My #1 has always remained John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan from SummerSlam. Other 2013 contenders: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kazushi Sakuraba. NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 7. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Kazuchika Okada. NJPW Invasion Attack. Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi. NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling. Antonio Cesaro vs. William Regal. NXT TV, December. Daniel Bryan vs. Antonio Cesaro from the gauntlet match. RAW, July.
The Natural
Avoid Tanahashi vs. Okada from Wrestle Kingdom 7. The worst match from the series.
NintendoLogic
I'm surprised no one's mentioned Brock/Punk yet. For my money, it's not only the best match of 2013, it's the best match of the decade.

For me Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk wasn't even the Match of the Night at SummerSlam 2013, Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena was. That match was my WWE Match of the Decade.
