2018-19 NBA: SECOND HALF

Always a nice start after the break watching the Dubs get pasted by a potential playoff rival.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Boogie experiment is working and GS is expanding his minutes.  :(

Well, at least we can pretend the Bucks have a shot in June.

If you told people in the 70s that Milwaukee vs. Golden State was a likely final in 2019, they'd probably be excited.

Rest of the state of the league, not so much.

Funny thing about that Portland/GS game, too, is it had 12 turnovers.  Total.  Both teams.  It was only 1 off the record, which has happened multiple times.  Single-team record is apparently *TWO*, by OKC of all teams.  Westbrook does that in a quarter these days.

The blind squirrel has found a nut.  Or, if you prefer, a quality piece of journalism from ESPN detailing the game-fixing by Tim Donaghy and strongly implying that the NBA intentionally sabotaged the FBI's investigation so that no further corrupt referees would be found:

If you watched Scott Foster vs the Rockets  last night you’d see that the game was fixed. Called Harden for 4 offensive fouls, Harden and Paul both fouled out, and when Rockets went up 19, they never went to free throw line again. Lakers has 17 free throws in that span.

Rockets 0-7 in games Scott Foster has reffed. 0-3 in playoff games, including two vs Golden State.

The Rockets actually are 9-9 in their last 18 with Foster, including 1-1 this year.

I didn't see the game so can't comment on how things went down but it is funny to James Harden complain about officiating.

Harden's streak of 30+ points per game came to an end last night.  On the last possession, up 8, Atlanta sent a quadruple team to make sure Harden didn't put up a shot in the final seconds sitting at 28 points.

Kinda relieved it's over, so there's no pressure from that anymore.  Now that we're finally healthy, we can just worry about winning.  Also, Kenneth Faried, stretch 4 with three point range.  Who saw that coming?

Doc Rivers is kinda corny but this is cool.

Corny and classy at the same time. That shit don't happen if the game is tied lmao. As much as I love the admiration for Dirk this season, brother never said he was retiring. Stop trying to force my mans out. He wants to play with KP.

The Los Angeles Lakers are expected to fire Luke Walton at the end of the season.

a) I'm as shocked as you.

b) It's massively shitty to leak this with 2 months left in the season.

The Celtics, who as of yesterday morning were at each other's throats and ready to implode played the Warriors last night.  So that's probably not good.

Well....  it says here in the papers that...

Boston won this game by 33 and Gordon Hayward annihilated them by posting a differential of +32(!!!)

This season is insane.
