Dolfan in NYC
And they're apparently furious with an injured AD for leaving in the middle of a game. Frankly, I'm not sure if suspending him or playing him is more of a punishment....
supremebve
He wanted to be traded. The Lakers wanted to trade for him. The Pelicans decided to say, "Fuck both of y'all." The Pelicans are now mad that they decided not to take the deal. This is what happens when you cut off your nose to spite your face. All they had to do was say, "Yes."
Infinit
I have no problem with what the Pelicans did to the Lakers. And personally I think any player under contract, in any sport, that publicly demands a trade should be fined just for intentionally diminishing his trade value.
Zimbra
I think it's fine for players to request a trade. I think it's fine for players to name preferred destinations. I think it's fine for teams to prioritize maximizing their returns over sending players to their preferred destination. Like, it's a bad situation and clearly no one is happy, but it's hard for me to say that anyone really acted wrongly. Anyway Danny Ferry is going to be the interim GM and try to sort out this shitshow.
Contentious C
Danny Ferry, the guy who refused to play for the Clippers and went to Europe instead of being L.A.'s draft pick. (Granted, that was Turdling's team, so the decision kinda makes sense, but still...funny.)
Zimbra
Arguably that shows more savvy than he ever did as a GM.
Cole Miner
I don't really get not taking the Lakers offer. It was absurd. Even if you don't like all the young players they were sending you could still flip them for picks.
Greggulator
There is high comedy and then there is John Collins breaking the model plane he was trying to jump over tonight.
