Andrew POE!
At least the earth wasnt an egg. Next week: heel turn or swerve? I liked that episode story wise. But like everything with Moffat, the final climax is just garbage. Maybe it's a face turn. The Doctor has been a heel this season. *mind blown*
odessasteps
As i joked earlier, Missy is the black guardian and clara has been turlough all along.
Ligerbusa
So..The Last of Us is really Red Riding Hood?
Control
This week's episode was average, borderline awful. Your quality scale seems mighty precipitous. Certainly there's gotta be a gradient of quality between average and awful. "Below average" being an obvious choice.
Travis Sheldon
Much better episode than the moon egg shit.
TheVileOne
I'm just ready for someone else to take over Doctor Who. I feel like it's time for Moffat to move on.
Matt D
I'd take more Moffat over Gatiss, but past that? Yeah, I'm ready too.
Bustronaut
Moffat has long since proven himself Russo-esque. In need of a guiding hand to rein in his worst tendencies. Although, for better or worse the audience has never been larger, so he's at least got that going for him.
odessasteps
Arent the ratings noticably off by a few millons since tennant era? Admittedly, the show okay first run and almost doubles with iplayer +7 viewers.
Bustronaut
In England, sure, but globally it just keeps growing.
odessasteps
I woud say the property is growing. I would be curious to see what numbers are like in markets such as us, canada and australia (ie longtime Who markets)
odessasteps
@DoctorWhoThing: HA! Cool stuff; Sean Pertwee as Jon Pertwee: #DoctorWho http://t.co/c0yZuCV3B2
Travis Sheldon
Since Pertwee was my favorite Doctor, I have been wanting to see something like that for years.
odessasteps
Someone mentioned on the big finish podcast the idea of Sean doing an audio and Nic Briggs said they had never asked him, but would explore the idea.

odessasteps
As someone said to me, nothing wrong with the obvious choice. I also legit laughed out loud with what happened to danny pink.
Bustronaut
"Missing something obvious" and the doors closing got a guffaw from me.
Andrew POE!
Great episode although I didn't really like the big reveal at the end. I really wanted Missy to be the Gallifreyian form of Clara that lived on as a Time Lady and obviously went nuts. Instead, she's the Master. Ugh. Bustronaut
Her original answer to "Who are you?" Had me thinking she was Susan, which would have been pretty shocking.

I would have liked that since Capaldi's take on the Doctor is more of a callback to the 1st & 3rd Doctor.

odessasteps
Good things about it: 1. Its not the Rani 2. Its not Romana 3. Its not Susan 4. Gender-swapping Master hopefully means no gender-swapping Doctor anytime soon.
Ligerbusa
I thought it was a great episode and I watched it without commercials so that helped. The dead being Cybermen seemed like a call back to Army of Ghosts where the ghosts were Cybermen coming through the rift.
odessasteps
People were saying the Cybermen revival was an homage to Tomb of the cybermen, in additional to the call back to the invasion with them at st paul's catherdral.
Ligerbusa
Yep Her original answer to "Who are you?" Had me thinking she was Susan, which would have been pretty shocking. Especially when she slipped her grandfather the tongue
