It's full release date is Jan 10, 2020 but it is getting a limited Christmas day release to sneak it in for Oscar eligibility.

Tomb Raider did enough that its sequel will take place (for now) 

March 19, 2021

It will be directed by Ben Wheatley (Free Fire, High-Rise)

Alicia Vikander is scheduled to return as Lara Croft

Martin use to be an amateur boxer before he got into comedy (rumor is back in the early 90s other comics use to pick fights with him due to his small stature and it didn't end very well for them at all) and was in the gym all the time when he was younger. Guess what happens to ex-athletes who get older, don't work out, and sit around the house all the time drinking and eating for years? That.

It also doesn't help he wasn't a big dude to begin with either.
